A draw is not disastrous. But I’d rather we get the job done n win.

Surprisingly, from 1970’s onwards we’ve only played 9 league games at Hillsborough. W 1 D 5 L 3 The only win in that lot was a 2-0 in 2005…when Sam Bang and Big Mama scored. Remember a 1-1 draw there in the promotion season with Shola Ameobi playing for Stoke. Plus 1 league cup defeat in 1999 and a 1-0 win in the Simod Cup in 87… was that a George Berry penalty? www.11v11.com/teams/sheffield-wednesday/tab/opposingTeams/opposition/Stoke%20City/Didn’t local lad Andy Holmes score the winner in that Simod Cup game? Also I’ll always remember the following for the opening day of the season game for Quitterall’s 1st game and Kris Commons debut I think, pretty sure we took around 6,000 and it was a fantastic atmosphere for a 0-0 draw

Big crowd for that competition. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/1987–88_Full_Members%27_Cup

Big game today, sadly for the wrong reasons for both clubs.
I'm not old enough to remember both clubs meeting in the top tier but I've seen a fair few games between us and there's a few played for both I can remember.
Safe travels to anyone making the journey.

Surely has to start Campbell as striker no real other option.

Mathematically a draw isn't a disaster today but I personally don't think our players could cope with the pressure of needing a result at home against Plymouth. I think we need to win today or we're down!

I'd say a point today makes it very likely we'll stay up, but a win almost guarantees this. A defeat today will be a disaster in my opinion!

Draws aren’t enough if the teams below us suddenly start winning, especially if Sheffield win today

We really need to win today but I'm fully expecting Wednesday to beat us. Then it's a massive pressure game against Plymouth where we would have to win. Anything less than 4 points from these two games and I think the relegation trapdoor is opening for us as I can't see us getting anything from Southampton or Bristol City games.

I can't fathom our team. We're as likely to put in a gritty, fighting performance, all-out attacking performance today as we are a gentle stroll around Sheffield.
We're better away from home but our most rancid defeats have been away from home against our peer group.
The good news is that Wednesday are incredibly vulnerable to pressing and we are quite good at that. I'd genuinely pick Ennis and Leris today just for their pressing, although Leris is also a handy out ball.
The bad news is that they're incredibly physical and we've just been outmuscled and outfought by the mighty gladiators of *checks notes* Swansea.
It would be so nice if we could not gift them the lead in the first fifteen minutes.

Actually no idea who I would pick today. The good players are knackered and the shit players are shit. Therefore, if we somehow win today I will give a lot of credit to the manager

Can we have less of the 'players are shit', 'the manager' is shit and get behind the team today?

What could possibly go wrong 😔

other teams around us are winning or drawing they are all battling its time for us to battle and take points ourselves not rely on other teams doing us favours so we can scrape home,,if we go down we go because we have a team with no fighters or pride in our club,we as a team are a fucking disgrace,,our fans deserve a lot better than this shower of shit, who call themselves footballers,

Proper squeaky bum-time game today.
Fortunately Ill be busy so I cant watch it. I really fear our players wont be up to the task and the pressure.
0-1 defeat. We cant score unless its OG, and the defence always has a mistake waiting.
Sorry to be so defeatist. We arent relegated if we lose but it heaps on the pressure

Big game.
The reverse fixture was genuinely one of the worst games of football I've ever seen.
Can anyone remember Bae's free kick? 😁

Already shitting me sen. LITERALLY! Whats our record like at Hillsborough? Without checking, I don’t think we do too badly there, but I don’t think many games have been played with the importance of today hanging over them. I am also just about to ship a nervous turd off to Drainsville.

Does anybody really have much hope that these players can put in a shift today & get 3 points. After that insipid display at Swansea I have lost all hope.
