Happy to hear he passed away surrounded by his loved ones. That’s the way to go. I always enjoyed his after match comments. RIP Joe

A thick set, punchy fella both as a player and a manager as I recall. There was this headline in the Mirror. RIP Joe Kinnear

A stocky, punchy fella both as a player and a manager as I recall. There was this headline in the Mirror. RIP Joe Kinnear He never pulled any punches that’s for sure. These days a manager only has to put his hand on the shoulder of a female to be hounded out of the game

can't believe how long he lived with dementia! RIP Joe. He’d clearly started to lose his marbles by the time he took charge of Newcastle - he was pretty much their Lambert appointment when they were in the shit as well. Proper old school manager though. No tactical genius, but probably someone who’d cheer the lads up in a dressing room.

Rememner him for two things:
The Yohan Kebab gaffe.
Doing a fantastic, underrated job getting Wimbledon to play some decent, direct football whilst retaining the legitimate aggression and spirit of the previous 'crazy gang' era.
Horrible illness.
RIP
