Best performance from us I’ve seen in a long while, if only we could finish!

Was there first goal offside? Looked it to me. Not the pass for the goal but the initial pass, he looked way off.

Would be nice yeah, but you just know if its vital we are in the shit...needs to be done before then.. Relying on us to win at home seems..fanciful? It's part of the emotion!

40 MPH is about 35 knots a full force 8 gale.☔🌪️ Anybody in the squad with a long throw? Pre match I thought few of this squad and SS have never played at the 365 when the wind blows. They handled it really well. First half high balls over the top were stopping and dropping mid air. Created several awkward moments but unfortunately we never capitalised . The best game and crowd atmosphere I have seen for some time.🥳

In front of us in block 16 and everybody was screaming off side. Wondered if he wasa PL lino used to VAR? He flagged for everything after that.

My main comment today other than well done battling back Stoke 👏
Is
Why the fuck did the ref and assistants not do anything about the amount of fouls WBA committ off the ball. They literally did it the whole game and never once got pulled up for it. We did it once and got pulled immediately 😠 🤬

Best home performance since Schumacher arrived for me , but of course the finishing remains woeful , stating Haks just seems a sub waiting to happen after zero impact Myopic crowd again failing to see we improved dramatically after Campbell came on , infinitely better than Mmaee point any game would do it so it’s a solid point but it’s going to the wire and we need at least 3 points from the next 2

You mean the 2 footed lunge that went unpunished - okay continued then it looked like the ball went out on the dugout side (again unpunished), then to cap it all the offside (unpunished). That’s 3 in a row in the matter if 5 or 6 seconds and results in the opening goal

Nice to see we come back from 2 down. Still can’t work out his starting 11 and there are too many players all running into the same space. Not sure what the coaching staff are doing in the week. Anyway onwards and upwards.

Why were the fire marshalls on the pitch at half-time?

I keep saying it, but this shit is unacceptable in the Finnish 4th division

Why were the fire marshalls on the pitch at half-time? Dunno but there is one facing the Boothen end on the right that gets pissed wet through when they turn the sprinklers on and he does not move. He did it at the last home game.

I don't think they struggled too much second half. We weren't going to score from open play again after the first, how many clear chances did they give us second half? Thankfully we converted after fucking up the penalty. Played well but both ends were a bit of a problem, we looked like conceding every time they had intent... And we couldn't make a half decent effort on goal bar the wonder finish (quite like hoevers) and then snoring the pen rebound. Very lucky. No, I think you've been traumatized by the last few years watching Stoke and you're being overly negative here. I'm sure any fair minded WBA fan will say they were second best. We played some brilliant stuff but yes, we look vulnerable at the back, we need a goalscorer, but there are some very good footballers in the squad We have something to build on. 60% possession today and 18 shots with 7 target I don't know if I qualify as fair minded, but I am an Albion fan. I agree that today SCFC were the better side. The Albion performance follows the pattern of the last few games, when we have short spells of cohesive play and longer periods of alarming lapses. Corberan has performed miracles with the squad he inherited from the clown Bruce, but the cracks are showing and only his good coaching will enable WBA to stagger into the PO's. With a goal scorer (which Albion also lack) Stoke should have been out of sight.

Manhoef is a dribbler a la Shaqiri without much end product yet. Bae is a nip and tuck footballer that creates the angles for those passes without really doing it himself, whilst Haks is a player that gets on the end of those passes without being able to finish them and Leris is a runner. Even though we scored two when Campbell came on I thought we looked more toothless and had much less of a cutting edge.

Campbell creates very little in contrast, but makes intelligent runs, and ideally is the one you’d like on the end of this Mmaee chances - but the once decent chance Campbell had he made a real mess of. Had Campbell had the chances that fell to Haks or the one that fell to Manhoef then I think he’d have scored one or two (at least the Campbell of a few years ago would’ve done). Starting them both would seem to me our best way of scoring, but if Campbell isn’t capable of taking his chances there isn’t much point involving him, he’ll be gone a month from now and will quickly be forgotten.

Agree with most comments, that we could have had 3 goals in firs5 20 minutes with better finishing and let’s face it their goalie made saves. I’m not sure about Iverson staying on his line too much on corners without taking initiative and punching clear. Their second goal was poor defending to allow the cross when we had a couple of opportunities to get rid and woeful goalkeeping to parry that straight to their player. Iverson parried it onto his foot and it rebounded into the net. It’s about time he started making good saves not just saves he should make like their goalie. He has no presence so opposite players feel they have a chance against them. He needs to build up a reputation and so I don’t think he’s one for the future.
