How people see different things I thought he did excellent 2nd half but I thought he was totally out of the game first half and looked lost I am a fan though He runs himself into the ground more than most in the team,i watched him today and really admired his effort but I think its a bit of his undoing aswell.Hes so gifted and would be far more dangerous in quick spirts, a la Bojan, who he remindes me of. Baker reminds you of Bojan?🔴⚪️

When baker and Laurent play together, it always amazes me that baker plays deeper with Laurent generally being the more advanced. Given the attributes of both you’d think it would be the other way around. This. An ex player said the same a few weeks back and he’s right. Burger and Laurent sitting in a 4231 is the way forwards. Both are athletes and physically made for the role. We’re just not disciplined enough and players don’t seem to know there roles which accounts for why we’re so wide open which certainly wasn’t helped in the first half by Leris and Ennis who couldn’t keep hold of the ball.

I agree about playing Baker more forward.I think he should play every game with Laurent and Burger.. Saying that most of the team didn't turn up in the first half ..Bakers free kick 6 inches lower and its a goal.

As was Burger those 3 should be bossing it today, none of them turned up Thought Burger looked susperb in that opening 10 minutes then just completely lost the plot. Whelan said on comms he runs too much for a midfielder and it's spot on. Looks so much better when he just sits and sets the tempo. So erratic otherwise. Probably why he never lasts the full 90 minutes.

Next season Baker needs moving on, our best midfield trio is Burger, Laurent and Junho.

Baker is the epitome of all that is wrong with the players at this club. Just a wage collector going through the motions. If we are playing well you will see him swanning around like he is the man, but as soon as things get tough he hides, just putting in enough effort to look like he's involved but never busting a gut. I bet his kit didnt even need washing after he was pulled at HT.

Not defending Baker as he was poor, but he wasn’t helped by the fact no one could hold the ball up ahead of him. His game thrives off players who can play with their back to goal and bring him into play. None of our front three could do that first half. I think that's why Laurent had been pushing further forward It's not working

He's another 1 good game in 5 type player. He hasn't got the engine or speed to get about the pitch to always be involved like Burger and Laurent and he's not brilliant on the ball either, and was way too slow with it at times yesterday. I didn't think he was particularly "bad" yesterday and his corners and that free kick that hit the bar were a plus point, but something needed to change and he was sacrificed.
I think he plays better away than he does at home as the way we play suits him more (he sees less of the ball). He's done well overall to be fair, just to get back on the radar, but I wouldn't be surprised nor devastated if he left in the summer.

Replaced at half time. Dead balls apart, offers nothing and is a massive part of why our midfield doesn't function at times. “Dead balls apart” is a huge statement given that no one else in the squad is very good at them and all of his replacements are also beige AND absent of an important skill. Have Baker arrive late in the box. Get an actual mobile target man who can lay balls off to Bae and Baker. Have them shoot more. Football isn’t hard. Play players to their strengths and then buy new players that compliment the existing ones.

Well he’s the only person in the team capable of shooting so I’d suggest a position where he may find himself relatively close to the opposition goal as often as possible may be a start? I don't think we can keep picking a player because he can pop off the occasional decent effort on goal. Nobody else knows where the goal is!
