Case for the defence, Bae and Million were away and may need a bit more time, Leris is in to protect the right side and he wants Baker for Monday. Maybe Cundle, Haks played well in last week’s friendly. Pleased to see Maaee back but he will lack support

I guess all of the team weren't on international duty, so they've had all week to prepare, with a game behind closed doors to get partnerships sorted. That's a positive spin I guess. Honestly think there’s more to the Morris story than meets the eye

Even if we win today it will be more “stopped clock is right twice a day” than “clever tactics”.

What a load of defeatest posts we have from "stoke supporters" - I just hope you all eat your hats if we get something out of this game - With Berger suspended, Pearson & Gooch out for rest of season he has to bring in Squad players and its up to them to grasp the moment. Defense is same so no reason why we should not try and keep a clean sheet. He has picked midfielders who will tackle back rather than go wandering off and not get back. The only problm for me is Mmaee who has not got a pressing game or a tackle in him, and I'm not sure he has a goal in him either. Apart from that I am not sure he could do anything else. So get behind the team instead of doing the easy thing and slagging them off. Shame on you

I think he's done the right thing by prioritising Monday. I just don't trust us to beat Huddersfield at home. I still can't believe we didn't win at their place at the start of the season, or that we're only 2 points above them!

If he’s holding some of our better players back with Monday in mind that’s madness given our precarious situation. Playing Friday and Monday is no different to playing Saturday and Tuesday and they’ve just had two weeks off (with the exception of Bae). Manhoef started 2 games for Holland u21s too - on Thursday and Monday, It's only really those 2 and Baker who are surprises. It does make us look weak though, no question. Did Junho play both games for South Korea as well? If not, then surely the jet lag should have worn off by now. Not expecting great things from Haks, unless he’s gonna be a floating No 10 doing creative work in the space between the two CMs and then advancing forward to support Mmaee. Lerís will work hard with not much end product as usual.

All three have hardly ripped up trees recently.

As Pete Smith mentioned, he has had pretty much non-stop football for months on end www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/stoke-city-bae-junho-korea-9196026

No issues with the selection or the reason for players being selected I just think todays side won’t match up well against a fluid fast side. Hope I’m wrong.

It’s a cowards line up - we have got to stop tugging our forelocks and accepting baffling management. A win today takes the pressure off Monday. Meekly accepting defeat to pin our hopes on Monday just ramps up the pressure and this squad doesn’t have the stones for it. Of course I reserve the right to declare him a tactical genius if we pull it off.
