If they are to go ahead and re build OT then they will need a new home for possibly 2 seasons. Ethihad would be the obvious choice based on capacity, but both sets of fans would hate that idea. The best solution to keep fans journey times down would be either Plymouth or Exeter...

There's a real possibility they could stay at OT and still build. Would imagine they could pull in 80k plus regularly.

surprised they want to do it. I know Old Trafford isn't as good as some of the latest but it's still good enough. It's a capital sink. Will more and more choose to watch their teams through TV?
Genuinely thought they'd be more interested in getting games played elsewhere like China.

Their "saviour", the Brexit supporting Ratcliffe, promised to build his Land Rover rival in the UK, then Brexit actually happened and he fucked-off and opened his factory in France. Whatever he says about OT should be taken with a huge pinch of salt, he's a proven liar. link

That's what I've heard. I live about a mile from the ground myself and from local mumblings it appears they have enough land to build one without the existing ground coming down. Would still be a logistical nightmare I imagine. But yes if spurs could do it no reason man utd couldn't I don't suppose. I'm sure there are some preliminary plans floating about somewhere..

I went to Old Trafford last year with work in the boxes and all that shit. When I was there we had a walking tour etc and I was told then that they were going to re-build and increase their capacity to just over 85,000.I did mention to the guide that that will break the long standing record which we (Stoke ) were a part of,in that we hold the record for the highest attendance for an Englsh game , at Main Road. His reply was thats why it going to be over 85,000

Man utd have more land it appears so should be able to build a new one whilst remaining put. That of course is if they manage to wangle govt funds with this Wembley of the North line of attack. Otherwise I imagine it'll be a refurbishment of old Trafford...

Wembley of the North could be a temporary home for a couple of years .
I'm sure the Bycars bogs would be ok for the wags.

They'll whack some temporary stands up at OT cricket ground and use that im sure. Cant imagine they would groundshare anywhere as they are universally loathed by citeh, the dippers and all other teams.

Roe Lane Playing Fields, there must be a dozen pitches there.
Select a pitch in the middle and then there would be plenty of room for the Cockneys/Cornwall/Outer Hebrides fans on all the other pitches.
One big communal changing room with cold showers, filthy bogs.
Get a couple of fish/chip vans parked up.
Great day out for them.
