Probably should've been a better crowd, but still an improvement on what our regular gates have been. Guess this free ticket offer didn't quite work out as they anticipated, but still a nice gesture from Coates.

It wasn't that well publised so that may be why a few didn't take up on the offer. But it was a half decent atmosphere and quite a good game imo.

Well if anyone was wondering why the crowds have been down this season it was there for all to see. It was a poor spectacle..Watford were as bad as Stoke and played similar tactics...and I doubt it would have done much to persuade armchair fans to get down the Brit. It really was a bore draw.

I thought it was decent game-my Dad who likes watching good football and hasn't come all season enjoyed and a Vale fan I took enjoyed it. I thought we played some decent syuf on occasions and tried to carry doing that. We made the top of the table team look ordinary and should have won.

It really was a bore draw. were you facing the wrong way and looking at the back of the stand?? we played some nice stuff, made a topf of the table team look very ordinary and had more than a couple of good chances to win it Some people will never be happy, we are 5th and just drew with the top team at this moment in time, if thats not enough to draw some extra fans in then its their loss!

We didn't make Watford look ordinary at all, they are ordinary and so are we.A real lack of quality from both teams and if they are the benchmark we should be up there come the end of the season....it's just not very nice to watch

I think watford are equally if no more guilty for the awful game today, they came with a play and we're happy with a draw, both side pretty dire today imo.

Bloody hell, that wasn't dire. Not compared to most of the drivel we've had to watch at home!!! That's the first home match this season where i was actually entertained in both halves of the match.

Mayf...a bore draw?!
I thought it was quite exciting and it was quite tactical at times.
Considering we were up against a team that can bring on Nathan Ellington and Damien Francis, I'm very happy we're 5th and have just drawn (and matched) the league leaders.
I don't know what you were expecting to happen???!!!!

I thought it was a good game for a 0-0 draw.
Both teams had plenty of set pieces ect to get chances from, end to end stuff at times and some excellent football from both sides at times!
Stop fucking moaning!

mayf cant believe you think that was a bore draw you should have been at burnley the other week now that was a bore draw.Took the old man and daughter today and they both thought we did ok,Fuller is a class act but at the minute its not going for him but full credit to the players for giving their all against tough opponents.Thought Cort and Zakuani were immense today hardly thought about Shawcross missing.

I don't believe Mayf went. I reckon he watched on Sky and got sucked into what they were saying! That certainly wasn't a "bore draw" and I came away from the game really chuffed with the performance the player's put in and i'd give it a 4 out of 5 for entertainment value too - no it wasn't pretty but we put inthe effort and we were unlucky not to get the three points coz their keeper was terrific!

Obviously the club would have wished for a gate closer to 20k than 15k but you can't say it was a failed initiative. Given the kick off time, our average crowds this season and the fact that it was on TV, I doubt if the crowd would have been above 12k without the initiative.
Unlike Mayf, hopefully several "newbies" will have enjoyed the game enough to come again when they have to pay.
I thought it was a typical game between to big strong evenly matched teams. And that for me, is the key - evenly matched - I'll take that as a good sign against the league leaders whose income because of parachute payments is over twice what ours is.
