Today Sweden decide what song will represent us in May.
Have you heard any songs from other countries yet? Is the one from England decided? Do Russia compete? Ukraine? Turkey? Australia?
I haven't followed this that much this time, even though I'm in ABBA-land.
🇸🇪📺

Thanks for all the clips!
In Sweden two Norwegian young twins are huge favourites. The odds is 1,11. Haha!

I wonder how many songs they (the committée here in Sweden) have to choose among from from the very beginning. 500 perhaps? It's said only two composers here, a middle aged man and a middle aged woman write half of those songs. No wonder they always participate year after year.
Then we have 4 contests (8 songs in each, I guess) and so a final this evening w 12 songs.

I don't know how to link from this device, but the best song ever was Per Lucia w Riccardo Fogli from Italy in 1983.
Edith: thanks Felonius, it seems ages ago so I thought the 70ies, 1983 it is.

I suspect we're after that particular vote I can see Orbs putting 10 to 20 votes in you could put zeros on that if his hero Marc Almond was representing us

Semi final #1
It start within 45 mins now.
Will you see it? I will for a change. I haven't followed it in detail the last 2 years or so, but I will tonight. I have no laundry pass, won't sort my remaining garbage out or scan any photos.
A pause for a change.

Ireland really do take the mick out of Eurovision
Sure many of you have Fr Ted and the story behind it was that they didn't want to win in Dublin so entered a song called The Rock and Roll kids...it won. The my lovely horse song was a skit on that Eurovision. The costs were so high they didn't to win. The next year they moved it to Cork to save money
Ireland have won Eurovision more than any nation but recent entries include Jedward and Dustin The Turkey- a puppet with a song called 'Irlande Douze points'. Didn't happen and upset the panel apparently
This years is interesting also

They could have asked The Sparks.
So far Malin Åkerman 5 points.
