Never thought I’d be so desperate to see Stevens in the 11🔴⚪️ Absence always makes the heart grow stronger...when he's back but is rusty and is guilty of decisive goals conceded, he'll soon be the whipping boy again...

In some ways this might be more tricky because the expectations will be on us to attack. Thought the commitment tonight was superb, my only concern is we just don’t look like scoring. The crossing is very hit and hope and there’s a nervousness around our shooting typified by Laurents weak shot at the end. Draws are no use at this point of the season unless it’s against another relegation candidate, wins are like goldust and we need a couple rapid. The good thing is that along with Southampton that’s the most difficult game of the run in out of the way. I’m praying that by the time we play the Saints they have nothing to play for. Makes no sense. 10 draws would probably be enough. If he has drawn the 6 games we lost we would be fine. If you can convince the other six teams above us and one below not to take any pts whatsoever, then maybe draws could ease the collective blood pressure of the Stoke fans, but as they probably won't abide by your rules, I think we should look to win every possible match from now on. While we won't succeed in doing just that, winning starts with believing that you can. If the pessimists call that deluded, then let them hang their heads in sorrow the day we stay up....

It’s the lack of goals that’s concerning, I know he’s not a fan favourite atm but should Campbell be starting🤔 if he’s putting himself in the shop window, you’d of thought he’s going to need a few goals and show he can put some effort in. I’m not too arsed if he leaves btw but just feel it’s worth the risk to give him a start Saturday Ww scored twice last week vs Boro and won - have you already forgotten...?

they will score looking at their recent results so where we getting two goals from , a point wouldn’t be that bad

I mean I think being undefeated spurs more confidence than winning a game and losing the next 6 trying to win the next game... Don't you think? That's not pessimism by the way it's called being realistic, managing expectations, being prepared, working with the tools you have instead of giving inverted full backs and diamonds with 39 year old wingbacks. You know.... The definition of insanity and all that.

Preston are physical. We cant play vidigal, ennis or really manhoef. We could be better playing Leris, hes more physical and can win ariel duels. Campbell, bigger and stronger than ennis. Wesley out of the picture and i dont know what the fuck is happening with ryan mmaee. Junho has shown his physical side and decieving strength so he will be able.

It’s a basic process really score goals and defend well. Check out Leicesters and Leeds goal differences. It doesn’t need a brain surgeon to work out. Just think win our 46 games 1-0 and we’d be the untouchables. 😂😂

What we did or didn't do in the 34 games before that doesn't matter as long as we keep improving ourselves!

You know.... The definition of insanity and all that. I agree that theory is completely insane. Nothing but nothing beats winning in football. Drawing only makes you breathe a sigh of relief that you didn't lose. It takes three games to achieve in draws what you gain in one win, and you don't improve your GD if you only draw. But can we do it, can we win more than we lose? Yes I think you could see a new step in the team, playing with the same eleven that won the game before, a new found degree of confidence - no over-confidence, please - in each other's ability. So play an unchanged team again - and again.

A win today would be massive, stating the obvious, we’ve got a bit of momentum and must carry this through to today’s match. It’s a real test for Schumacher. Is it worth a punt on starting Campbell?

Whats the Mmaee situation nowadays? Think he was supposed to be back in training this week, not sure if it is with the first team. Schumacher had said he'd apologised and cleared the air. To me Campbell just looks like he's nothing to fight for.

Wonder if M'waee is in the squad today, didn't figure for the under 21's last night, maybe a sneaky bench appearance😉

SS sounded quite guarded and non-commital about Mmaee if you ask me.

Wouldn't be a massive surprise if he never played for us again, that is as long as SS is in charge.

I thought Ennis looked way out of his depth the other night. I'd try Campbell but keep things the same.
Iverson
However Rose Wilmott Gooch
Laurent Burger Baker
Manhoef. Campbell. Bae

A win or draw today would be great, but let's not pretend it's a must win, out potentially 3 needed wins can come anywhere amongst the remaining games, in no particular order..

Bae I think Campbell is better coming off the bench from starting. PNE will be physical from the off, which will just overpower and frustrate a lightweight like Ty.
