Same staring team? Maybe Campbell in for Ennis? Thompson available, is McNally fit? Preston having a good season exceeding expectations (all after fans were screaming for Lowe to go) so it's a hard game however they are nowhere near the level of Leeds or Leicester, fancy our chances Draw would be OK but we can beat them My issue with Campbell is that he doesn’t seem to be committed or at least that he’s losing concentration at key moments. Yesterday and in the game against Middlesbrough crosses have gone right across the 6 yard box, exactly where he should be making runs, and he’s always on his heels near the penalty spot.

Can only see another defeat unless he makes some serious changes to the forwards on hsi own ennis is as powder puff as any we've had willing as he is he needs support around him Let's be honest. Even if we had Haaland up front, you would still be predicting defeat. Luckily your track record on predictions is pretty poor.

You might want to check that the last 5 seasons have been incredibly accurate points wise , progress wise and if you check back who was predicting that some fo the actions under scholes would have dreadful and lasting consequences. Who was saying in Sept read the quote we are in dreadful o trouble after another trily truly rotten summer ?

I'd say unchanged, but I think he will have to change a couple.
Iversen
Hoever Rose Wilmot Gooch
Thompson Burger Baker
Leris Campbell Bae
We never seem to do well against these either. Schumacher v Lowe - both know each other inside-out. Probably be a tight one, 1-2 Stoke.

We've played very well in recent games, even if we haven't been "rewarded" with enough points. To look at the less recent past, a number of his changes were understandable and needed to be made, such as not playing not fully fit players three times in seven days. I don't know if there were any severe casualties yesterday, and the physios may tell him if one or the other player is better off with a break, but if not I would expect him to pick the same eleven again. There will be changes on the bench for obvious reasons plus Thompson comes back into the reckoning, but he's not so good that we should change the currently ideal team for his sake.

We have chopped and changed all season, I think it’s time to stick with the same 11 again, the defence has looked better over the last two games, certainly keep them together. The midfield three of Laurent, Burger and Baker also work well together, and Bae and Manhoef actually give us an attacking threat. Even Ennis, he had it rough last night but I think we stick with him and bring Campbell on during the second half.

I think psychologically the longer you stay in the bottom 3, the pressure ramps up. To get out of it, gives everyone a massive lift..A win or draw would be great, but it wouldn't be terminal, just make survival that little bit harder.

Yeah, barring any injuries, we need to stick with this team. Preston play tonight and it’s away at Southampton, so that extra days rest could help us on Saturday. I fancy us to get a result there.

A long midweek trip to Southampton won't do Preston any favours. Every little helps.

Same team again for me if possible.
Any idea how many tickets we've sold for this one?

I know some people don't like xG stats but I thought this was interesting...
Preston are top of the xG difference table, meaning they have scored 10.78 more goals than expected throughout the season so far. Lucky or good finishing?
Stoke are bottom of the xG difference table, meaning they have scored 14.27 less goals than expected throughout the season so far. Unlucky or poor finishing?

Has to stick with the same team/formation given the last 2 performances - there are zero other options really.
Next 3 teams up are all in form and been a while since any of them lost, but we have to go for it and play with the same attitude.
No excuses this time, we played well but unlucky bollox, if only we had taken our chances - it is now or never.
Not sure what has been said behind closed doors but, for me, the attitude and performance has ramped up in the last 2 games, but we have been missing sitters all season, so maybe a bit of hypnotherapy for the players(anything worth a bash), as these are chances any professional footballer with a bit of composure should be slotting away every time. Getting to the stage now where we are just expecting players to miss the simplest of chances and then bemoan their luck at the end of the game - no such thing as luck for me, if the finishing belongs in tier 3, then that is where we will end up.
Got to try and win 4 from 10, and then it would be 4 from 9 should we lose this and one of those games is away at Southampton, so then it possibly becomes having to win close to 50% of the games remaining - essential we get something from this and create momentum and keep building

Their game was off, either way it would probably have been a half hour flight. Yep, a warehouse fire near St. Mary's earlier in the day meant the game was postponed. So that's a slightly fresher Preston we face on Saturday I hope that isn't one of those weird "chaos theory" moments that cost us later in the season.
