Received this earlier.
Anybody any thoughts or knowledge of what the plans are?.....
Dear supporter,
The Club will shortly reveal proposals and commence consultation with supporters regarding licensed standing, and a change to the designated location for away fans, at the bet365 Stadium from next season.
We are excited to reveal the plans, as we firmly believe they will have a significant positive effect on the matchday atmosphere in ST4.
As your Season Card seat may be impacted by the proposed changes, we would like to apologise in advance for any concern or inconvenience that may be caused.
We do hope, however, that you will understand the plans and share our positivity regarding the prospect of creating an electric atmosphere at future home matches.
An opportunity to provide us with feedback on the proposals will be provided alongside the forthcoming announcement.
We would also like to invite you to a consultation event at the bet365 Stadium from 6.30pm on Monday, March 18th. Should you wish to attend, kindly register here.
Thank you for your understanding and loyal support.

Admin needs to add a "Nott1 hates this" option to this thread, he'll be along shortly I'm sure and dislike just isn't strong enough for him.

Whilst I haven't had a letter I think it potentially impacts those who are located elsewhere too.
We sit in the family stand but quite near to the new corner. I'm not too keen to be next to the away fans either during the game or on entering ans exiting (the second issue may be irrelevant if they change the access points but right now the away fans would have to walk down the slope with all the home fans to that corner.

It's an interesting point, the access to the ground has been spot on for years meaning there's not been any major incidents really for as long as i can remember. Moving away fans now, would definitely make things interesting around that side of the ground, i imagine that the path down to that corner will be away fans only and any home fans in the south stand will have to access it from the club shop side where away fans currently access it. They'll then have to stop away fans from getting down the side towards blocks 29-32

How would home fans access the side (forgotten what they side is called) where the family stand is?

This pleases me as I have sat in my seat in B20 since we moved in 97 :-D
The South Stand crew will be better off by the tunnel? Better access, create a better atmosphere. Stick away fans between two home sections (although not sure the family stand will approve lol)
I would move the family stand to B26-28 in the Boothen corner tbh, or even B10/11 by the tunnel in the main stand

At one of the consultation events we raised with Ant Emmerson and Adrian Hurst about that horrific bank from Gordon Banks down to the Satellite office - Penguin Hill as we call it as everyone waddles down and back up it, poorly lit, muddy either side, kids running up the mud etc, and that fecking bollard at the end trying to catch peoples bollocks out, then the free for all of bus queues, cars, people trying to cross to Nuffield etc, home and away mixing
I said they should build steps down from Gordon to where the family stand is, widen the current ramp but have stairs coming off that too so there isnt a funnel at the bottom / top
They can probably fence in the fans on away coaches so they are straight in/out, the walkers back to cars/trains will probs have to walk down to the Audio roundabout still then make their way back up the long way round.

What about visiting buses? Won't away fans have to walk through Stokies?

Some fence re-routing will have to be done but I do like the thought of home fans by the tunnel.

The details may be annoying to some but in principle I think this chimes with the sentiment expressed on here and elsewhere for decades - it's crap having away fans by the tunnel. If the building work and segregation can be done to a high standard, that's ace.
Having some safe standing will also be good. I'm nearly 60 but I still prefer to stand at footie.

Would mean walking back on ourselves. No big deal but an inconvenience. We're in block 33. I don't usually care too much about what my kids hear at games but won't be happy to be this close to chippy away fans and add to that the stupid home fans who spend more time arguing and goading the away fans.

Wish the safe standing was at the back of the boothen, The atmosphere has always been better coming out of the boothen imo

There is another thread asking about renewing ST and I said there that I'm on the fence and leaning towards not (after decades). This change might make that decision easier...

Wish the safe standing was at the back of the boothen, The atmosphere has always been better coming out of the boothen imo Not block 19 area it hasn't..alot of that area of the ground don't know their own name let alone being able create an atmosphere after spending most of the pre match in the bogs shoving shit up their nose and doing the same at half time.
