wondered how long before this came up on here again
its a sad story really, but at no point in her head did she realise swapping english and maths lessons for bomb making class was a bad idea? let alone when she was stitching would be suicide bombers into suicide vests and taking extra care to make sure if somebody tried to cut them out of the vest it would go off?
nah sorry duck but you knew it was a bad idea when you and your pals stole your parents gold to pay for flights, if it was such a good idea they would have paid for you to go!

Let her rot out there.
I think her lawyers have already said they're planning to appeal to the Supreme Court (?) next time.
Let's be honest all she needs to do is get to Calais and come across in a dingy - she'd never be deported would she.

Amazed at this result, but have every faith in the corrupt and disconnected legal system that she will win the next appeal whilst having helped the pig snout lawyers earn thousands. It's written in the stars.

Whatever has happened, she's British and our problem that won't go away because she doesn't belong to anybody else. If she was trafficked, that's terrible but how could/would you ever release her back into the community? She wouldn't last five minutes. And trying her wouldn't be possible because she was only 15/16 at the time.

I would rather she was locked up in the UK. It would be less of a security risk particularly now as she probably despises the UK even more.

I don't think anyone's position on the poisonous witch will ever change.
Personal belief remains that wringing our hands of responsibility for her plays out extremely poorly on the international stage and she should be in a British jail as a result of our western democratic judicial system.
Conversely I'd be in no rush to get her back over here, but would be prepared to speed up that process with full cooperation to prevent further examples happening in the future.

This is such a really important point.
The actual arrogance needed to think we can leave it to somebody else to have deal with our shit is very worrying.
We need to pick our own litter up and we need to be seen to do so by our peers.

The Ruling was that the Home Secretary was legally entitled to deprive Begum of British Citizenship The Court Ruling added that the decision may be a) harsh or b) brought upon by herself My understanding is that this is a Landmark decision never before exercised against a British born Citizen but quite routinely against Naturalised British Citizens For people who have naturalised as British, citizenship deprivation is permitted even if it would leave them stateless (ie without the citizenship of any country). Someone who was born British and has no other nationality cannot be deprived of their citizenship in any circumstances. commonslibrary.parliament.uk/research-briefings/sn06820/It seems clear to me she has an obvious appeal against the decision on precedent alone and the case was always inevitably desined for the Supreme Court for final adjudication And quite possibly it won't end there as Article 8 of ECHR prohibits a person from being made Stateless I like many people would feel uneasy from what I understand if she was allowed to return to UK without legal scrutiny At a minimum her defence that she was groomed should be tested in a UK Court even if a Special Advocate needs to be appointed to review evidence against her but not disclosed to her Defence Team I have no idea if her claims of Grooming as a Child are valid but many were concerned, rightly so, of other Children being groomed in Rochdale.
