I'm pretty sure the "banter" I heard coming from the mouths of under 40's Wednesday night would debunk that opinion. If you seriously think its us "oldies" engaging in this stuff you are mistaken. I listen to the lads of 15/16/17 that I coach, and my eldest and his mates and what constitutes "banter" is very different to when I was a teenager. So outside your small section of the Bet365 I do think the world is changing thankfully which as a parent of a 6 year old daughter gives me hope.......... What you hear could very well be different to what goes on when your not there. I appreciate you hope that things change but I doubt it very much there are youngsters very willing to perpetuate the same old stuff as we've just seen in the murder of the young trans girl in Cheshire and its not "oldies" doing this it's young kids that are way more intolerant and violent than we ever were.

Yep there is unfortunately, often products of their environment. It's never too late for any of us to change, having a daughter certainly made me look at things differently I don't mind admitting. Shit sexist jokes should be confined to the dustbin...............

I suspect the majority of posters on here are 40+ males. This is one small example in a world where lots of other small examples add up to an attitude to women that needs to change. It doesn't offend me in the slightest, I just find these things tedious and unfunny. Thank God all of us dinosaurs will hopefully die out soon and the next generation can engage in less "hilarious" banter and more respect for one another.............. On here, I have been accused of living in a metropolitan bubble but the irony is, I spend as much time on here - the bubble of all bubbles - as I do in London itself.

To be fair to Cheshire, those two fucked up murderous shitbags are not the product of there immediate surroundings. But the Prime Minister of this country making cheap bantz about trans women at the dispatch box whilst the mother of her murdered child witnessed it from the public gallery doesn't help.

Bit of a sweeping statement. And to be honest, using the murderers of Brianna Ghey as an example is a bit wide of the mark given that Scarlett Jenkinson (clearly the "brains" behind the crime) is off-the-chart psycho and has a bagful of issues all of her own. They'll be writing theses and doing Real Life crime docs about her for years - so she's not really representative of an age group. I'm not saying the younger generation aren't capable of intolerance/violence (all depends on upbringing/environment), but my own kids don't give a stuff about race/gender etc and I suspect are more representative of many of today's younger gen.

Tin of Vimto and a Cadbury's Boost please mate. Vimto has a fascinating history - Vimto was created in 1908 in Manchester by John Noel Nichols (1883–1966), a wholesaler of herbs, spices and medicines. He saw the market opening for soft drinks due to the temperance movement and the passage of the 1908 Licensing Act. It was originally sold under the name Vim Tonic, which Nichols shortened to 'Vimto' in 1912. Vimto was originally registered as a health tonic or medicine, which was then re-registered in 1913 as a cordial."

The whole thing is idiocy personified. Firstly the team themselves putting that name down on paper is plain stupid. It was obviously a suggestion made in jest by a group of lads - the fact it made if further I find extremely stupid. The second is this team refusing to play them - again - get on with it and stop being precious. Let them be idiots - they are not hurting anyone. And lastly the fact this has made it into a national newspaper just shows what kind of shite the public wish to be informed of.
If this is the type of thing that worries people I feel sorry for them. There are idiots literally everywhere that warrant more of our focus than this particular bunch.

Not at all how old was the latest stabbing victim and how old were the 2 people arrested. One case. I could find another case where the perps and victims were in their 50's or 60's and say that they were representative of Boomers(?) This is lifted from a Daily Mail article about the Ghey case: "By the time she (Jenkinson) was 12 it was 'common knowledge' at Culcheth High School that she had a 'kill list' of children who had taken a dislike to, trying to recruit other pupils to take part in 'blood rituals'. - Jenkinson was expelled from the school – in the village where they would murder Brianna just weeks later - for trying to 'poison' a fellow pupil with cannabis sweets in October 2022. - She was moved to Birchwood High School and placed in the 'inclusion unit' where Brianna was taught because of her struggles with anxiety, becoming 'obsessed' with her by December 2022. - According to a leading criminologist, the killers' relationship was a classic 'folie a deux' - a shared madness or delusion typically found in couples who kill – comparable to Moor Murderers Ian Brady and Myra Hindley , but unusually with them not being girlfriend and boyfriend. " As I said, this is not representative behaviour - it's pure psycopathy - unique to the individual and not to a whole generation.

And while we're on the subject, Ribena gained it's mass popularity after being commissioned by the govt to produce drinks in cartons to be given out free to schoolchildren during the second world war, as the govt. were worried about increasing levels of scurvy in the country due to the lack of being able to import citrus fruits. Although they weren't allowed to use their label on the carton, it led to blackcurrant becoming the most popular flavour of squash for decades afterwards. Anyway...back to misogyny

Not at all how old was the latest stabbing victim and how old were the 2 people arrested. The above is an extreme example, and those particular individuals sentenced had many many issues it seems. In general terms though kids get their values from their parents and close associates. If a child grows up in a household where the mum is the glorified hired help, where the dad and kids never pick up an iron, or use the oven or the washing machine the son that goes out into the wide world may have a distorted view of what constitutes a healthy equal relationship. Then if you throw in things like access to violent and misogynistic pornography being readily available into the mix, it suddenly takes an even more sinister turn and that child may grow up with a very very unhealthy view on women and their place in the world. It's not that deep, the world is changing and as parents of young boys I think we have a responsibility of making sure they view women as absolute equals in the home, the workplace or wherever. Those young boys become men, they run companies, have relationships, they become politicians or whatever and on the back of that we get positive change. Sexist "banter" has had its day, it's just fucking cringeworthy and needs to stop. It should have ended with Zoo, Nuts and Loaded magazines..........

And by naming themselves so visibly it informs women who want to avoid such "misoginists" exactly who they are. So that helps. Its a stupid gag taken too far in my view. I've heard plenty of women refer to other women as munters to be honest. Maybe I need to improve my social circle 😆

I bet they had a right laugh when they thought the name up and that they were being so clever.
I think the word is so degrading and the whole club and players should be embarrassed and quite frankly the people involved should grow up.
