How shit is manhoef to not get in a heavy rotated squad??? Especially as it seems Gooch is playing RW instead of RWB.

Gooch getting a lot of praise on commentary but all I see is a really mediocre player, lots of energy for sure but no quality. Keeps giving the balk away as does Laurent , with his stupid flicks He's pretty shit is Gooch.

Shouldn’t be playing. No where near ready Who should he be playing ? He was involved in the link up play to the last bit of possession we had - played 2 nice passes which others would have put out of play. I think he is doing ok.

Anyone upset at that needs to reset their expectations. It's not 2012 anymore. The reality is that Coventry visit us as clear favourites, and the manager has picked a team to show heart, grit and determination. That's exactly what they have done, and we can't ask much more than that if we're in a relegation battle. 11 men who give a toss. Pulis-esque, as above. Long may it continue. Yeah, we're doing alright here. Every player on the pitch is limited and unlikely to play higher but it's alright. Reminds me of 02/03 when we got battered away at Forest and Pulis realised we just needed to dig in and grind out the rest of the season. Given the 10 years in the Premier League and the shambles that has followed it shouldn't be the case, but so what? It's where we are, it's what we have at our disposal and it's doing the job today. Get safe and then see what happens next season when Schumacher has more time to get his ideas across. I appreciate people won't like it but this is very necessary at the moment.

Besides the nearly monumental Rose fuckup early resulting in a free attack which ping ponged around the posts its been pretty tame since. Although Wilmot still has his fuckup in his pocket and we've seen hoevers just. If Pearson and Baker keep working hard we can win this, not impressed by coventry tbh

Well, took the players 10 minutes or so to figure out what they were supposed to be doing and we were fortunate not to concede during that time. But after that we got stuck in, made it hard for them to get out of their half and had some decent attacks. Let down by a lack of accuracy at crucial moments. Hopefully we can improve that 2nd half. Thompson done well after getting carded but think he maybe should be subbed because the ref clearly just wants an excuse to send him off

I agree, but equally it's deflating isn't it. Needs must though in our situation. I'd rather this than going gung ho like we did at Blackburn and get picked off at will. The biggest worry is the lack of summer purchases who are on the pitch at the moment. Very much reliant on those who were already there last season, and loanees.

Manager has used his head and selected a team of mainly gutsy experienced tryers. It was pretty obvious in the week that certain players were totally out of energy. Very pleased by the attitude of every single player at half time. It is very evident looking at this thread that there are many people chomping at the bit to slate the players. Gooch and Thompson have played very well for me! I agree that this referee is really struggling and has made some awful decisions.

Lots of effort and work rate. Relatively solid defensively (apart from that goal mouth madness in the first ten minutes 😂). However, no real goal threat. We are where we are. We need to grind out some results and that is what we are trying to do today. You have to worry that if Coventry score first then it is game over. That’s how I see it. We went mad when we attacked Leicester and Blackburn, Schumacher has done what we all asked to shore us up. Let’s get out of here with another point on the board and we can continue build some confidence. No. We went mad when he set us up like Pulis would, hoping for a point, and got mad when we inevitably lost 5-0.

Lots of effort but zero quality.
If we stay like this best we can hope for is a goalless draw.
Ref needs looking at. Totally “inconsistent” in his decisions.

Obviously set up for a point
Offering absolutely nothing final third and apart from that huge let off, been reasonably comfortable also at the other end but they have decent forward players, we don't .
Why can't we make simple 10 yard passes?
Has their keeper touched the ball in open play?

Take an ugly 1-0 right now. Wouldn't we all? Means square root of nothing in relation to the correct way of wanting your team to play and view games like Coventry.

This chap has made his mind up before he's even walked on the pitch. Clear bias, clear agenda.

Just need to keep this scrappy until 60 minutes (maybe pinch a goal) then make a few changes and hopefully we have a bit more going forward for the last half hour and we get a win.

He is, one of his better games He's set a low bar to be fair. Other than run around looking busy and pressing what's he done? Pretty much all of our attacks have been started by him.

But it's been a problem for the 30 years I've been watching so I'll try not to lose sleep over it. Has their keeper touched the ball in open play? Yes, at least once. Left-footed clearance under a bit of pressure.

If you concede early, you're fucked. That also applies to the second half. We're doing alright though.
