Stoke have the 16th highest losses across Europe for the last decade, according to the CIES Football Observatory. €245m spent, recouped €80m, equalling €165m of losses... Be interesting to see how the last few years have changed that football-observatory.com/WeeklyPost448

That’s bloody shocking stuff. Just how have we failed so spectacularly since 2014?
It makes JC’s contention we were going to be self-sufficient, after his post Pulis recruitment plans, even more laughable.

Benjamin Buffoon ** gets cock out **
I'm sure the clubs well aware of how much money has been spunked up the wall.

It ain’t rocket science is it? . Palacios, Imbula. Wimmer, Berahino, Afobe, Ince, Woods, Ndiaye, Vokes, Etebo to name just few failures who we didn’t break even on with huge losses.. Most if not all the players signed by Rowett for £50m+ left at a loss.

Most if not all the players signed by Rowett for £50m+ left at loss. It’s also quite reassuring they’re all pre MON. I think our activity in the market has been far smarter since then. Even failures have seen most of our outlay recouped. Now if we could just stop signing has beens on massive wages we’ll be fully rehabilitated.

Just wonder how we would have done had he come earlier instead of the disaster that was Rowett with a decent war chest after relegation? Just before he arrived we had been beaten at home 1-0 by fellow relegation favourites Huddersfield. It left us 6 points adrift on 2 points after 10 games and lots on here commented that no team had escaped relegation after such a terrible start to the season.

Interesting that Brentford and Brighton are in the list of the most profitable.
