Wow. I honestly don't see it like that. Who was manager when we won 4-0 at Sunderland last season? 🤔 Who was the manager when we lost 3-1 to hull , 3-0 to Blackburn, 1-0 to Sheffield Wednesday ?

"So, with Stoke losing away to a team who are joint sixth, is it time to crack open each others' heads and feast on the goo inside?"
"Yes it is, Kent".

Can Johnson be the difference maker. Gooch getting clapped off by Mackems - no surprise he's been great for them this afternoon.

Our passing must be some of the worst in the league. All either underhit or overhit, too far infront or behind the man, quite impressive really. Always telegraphed, and never any zip at all. We sometimes do have zip but rarely can do it 2-3 times in succesion. I am ok with his approach but he needs to make sure we are at least functional defensively. At the moment his star is waning (a little bit). No need for panic. It will come good. Gooch subbed 40 mins too late.

The chances we have had to take the lead, pull one back, draw level that have been spooned, or the wrong decision taken has been Infuriating. Not one of them knows how to hit the onion bag.
Goals change games, it's a shame our strikers haven't a fucking clue how to score them it feels!

It’s not worse than AN. But we need a whole host of new players. Especially up front. Scoring goals is such a problem. I don't think we need that many to see a huge improvement. Teams are like a machine. Replace the broken parts and suddenly the rest can look better. Commanding CB, a fit LB, and some kind of useful forward would see so many things fall into place IMO.

Anyone who thought he was going to miraculously end years of underachievement needs to take this as a wake up call. Mid table will be a success this season.

Gooch isn’t a right back. Thompson isn’t a left back. Wilmot isn’t a footballer 😂 Gooch is usually alright, but he has been murdered today by Clarke. Thompson has been out of position all game and it’s cost us two goals. Wilmot technically is a decent footballer, but I don’t know what his position is, he has never looked solid at CB for me, I wouldn’t play him at full back (but that said, he’d have done a better job on Clarke today).

The brief flurry we had has been extinguished. I can take the world going to rat shit but it sure would be nice if we won a bit more often.

One of the obvious differences for me between the two teams is that they have a team full of players who want to take someone on. That translates in the final third because they aren’t trying to pass it off, they want to strike the ball themselves.
Still, we’ve had more than enough chances to win this game. Stupid that we aren’t closer.

Starting the season with one aging LB and only 3 very average (at best) CBS was negligent.
