Any thoughts on " sayings"?
Any that have particular truth for you?.Or not?
My mother used to say " Don't meet trouble halfway "....what she meant was " Don't go looking for problems before they happen " ....because....they might not happen, they might not be as bad as you think..so not worth worrying about...I think she was right.
Any words of wisdom?( Let it be...Felonious)

I know it’s a real modern cliche and annoying to some but if you treat most disappointing things that happen in life with “it is what it is” it certainly helps. It’s helped me with loads of stuff, it makes you think that with all the will in the world there is nothing you could have done to change the outcome and to swiftly move on.

I prefer "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." Edmund Burke - possibly. On a less profound level if ever I got hurt as a kid my dad would always tell me it could have been worse - it could have been him. Of course he was right and it did stop me sniverling. |
