This won’t happen very often but even after a 4.2 defeat at home it’s a big 8.5 for me Great to see us go toe to toe with an opposition that was obviously superior. Good attacking starting 11. No problem with the subs or there timing A performance with more positives than negatives even in defeat

7 from me, injuries and players missing took it's toll but positive performances from a lot of players. In the end Brighton were just a bit better than us. Gouranga.

A solid 8.
Not frightened to have a go against a decent Premiership side.

Gets a good positive 8 from me.
Good to give some game time to the goal keeper (no worse than what we have in his first game) looks quite assured in the goal. Will get more up to speed with games. Also good to see the youngsters coming on.
It looked like we had a go today, and first half Brighton just couldn't play the way they wanted.
Individual players won them the game with some pretty goals.
We were not embarrassed.
Note they beat spurs 4-2 not so long ago..

8 for me, we did well against a very good team until tiring in the last 20 mins. Lots of positives, we know our best midfield, it must be Burger, Baker and Bae. We desperately need a left back, a CH and another striker.
We know Wes and Johnson are nowhere near good enough, Vidigal can still do it along with Mmaee. Still need someone else, Campbell should come in when he’s fit but still need someone else.
We need some more pace in the side, up front and at the back. That is the challenge for this window.
Most importantly Schumacher will have learn a lot from this and we have learnt he not afraid to try out the youngsters.
Onwards and upwards.

Great effort. Team played with pride and passion and thats clearly come from the managers input.
Nothing to be ashamed of today.

Tempted say 8, even if would probably be wiser to play a little more defensively if the goal had been solely to do well in this game.
For me, it seems that he will focus solely on getting our team used to a high pressure attacking style and not suddenly decide to play 5-3-2 because he thinks it might be wise one particular week.
And for me that’s the key to success at this level. (Maybe even at premier league level, if the underdog teams who have done well recently are anything to go by). You can cover a lot of flaws if your players know exactly what they are meant to be doing instead of desperately trying to remember what the game plan is this week.
Get in a left back asap and I think we’ll step up another level.

9 Johnson was about to take the penalty until Schuey intervened and insisted Baker take it . For that an extra point

I’d dock him a point for keeping Wesley on the pitch for as long as he did. The plan was to stay in the game which we did for 80 mins until their 3rd goal so it’s a solid 7.5/10 from me…..

Didn't see the result as priority perhaps and gave lots of players game time

6. We lost at home. It isn’t less than 5 because it was largely expected, the game was decent and he brought on 3 youngsters for about 20 minutes.

8. Against other opponents playing like that wins games. Not much I’d change from what he did.

Easy 8
Can't be any higher as we have still lost and you never want to lose but with this manager in charge we will never die wondering what if.

9 - that first hour exceeded all expectations.
There’s no way we produce that under Alex Neil.

8 for me. We had a right good go against a team that will probably finish in the top 8 of the premier league. They will know they've been in a game today and we didn't defend for ninety minutes we actually went for it although their class showed by the end. Long may it continue Schuey.

A good 8 from me. I like his positivity. We lost to one of the better Prem teams so no shame in the result.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't I see Mmaee come on.... jesus, walks around the pitch, loses the ball, and lets other players run past him to close the opposition down, Campbell esk !!

Definitely did but he doesn’t offer much runs about a bit not even quickly considering his age. He’s going to have to develop into an absolute brute to make it me thinks.

9.5 This fella is the real deal, Brighton are miles ahead of us at the moment but he set us up to take them on with players who many on here criticise week in week out. A top class performance considering.
