We have one of the worst home records in the football league.
How does Schumacher overcome this?
I think with his philosophy it should come naturally but that record is scarily bad.
Giving the fans something to cheer about is imperative.
Good luck Steven!

It was one of Plymouth’s strengths.
Maybe if he moves the ground to Cornwall that might help.

Keep doing what he's been doing and results will follow. Playing like this, I'm sure we'll be on the receiving end of a drubbing or two, but we're far more likely to dish them out as well than we were under Neil and his clueless football.

Hence I exaggerated my already ridiculous suggestion to make it even more ridiculous. Maybe he could sail the Bet365 to Jersey?

We need to be more direct, I’m not advocating long ball tactics as such but this sideways and backwards passing is boring and counter productive.

Very surprised to see there have been 3 clubs with worse home records than us in the last 5 years.

The fans are certainly getting behind the team and there was no lack of effort today. I think we will come good under Schumacher. A stroke of luck or whatever is all it takes

We need to be more direct, I’m not advocating long ball tactics as such but this sideways and backwards passing is boring and counter productive. We do urgently need to get in the habit of winning especially at home and I think it’s reasonable to go a bit more direct perhaps with a target man available just to get some results and win “ugly” if needs be to garner some belief and confidence but then seek to evolve a more stylish approach over time - so maybe a bit of a Pulis followed Hughes-like evolution (but in a season and minus the aberration at the end!)….

I’d take high octane Pulis Ball at home any day of the week over the tepid, slow dross we’ve had to suffer recently.

If so, Ipswich we’re killing the tempo of the game throughout. Trying to draw us onto them which we struggled to revive after that initial 25 minutes.

I think that it’s one he’ll overcome. We look like we want to go at teams and with Burger-Bae-Baker, there’s enough variety in our midfield to flip this stat around.

We need some good players.
Sign some good ones in January, then we'll start to win. The reason we are one of the worst home teams in the country is because the players aren't good enough and don't have much pride or respect in themselves and the club.
Football is simple!

I actually sang (apologies to those in Block 31) for the first time in years at the weekend, so there’s an improvement already (apart from for those in Block 31).

The mentality at home has been all wrong for a longtime. Hopefully Schu sticks to his principles.

My biggest difference was that I usually shout abuse at our players and manager, yesterday it was just the ref and the linesman. It was very refreshing!

Attacking football + obvious effort = crowd behind the team = a better home record.
Given the players we have, I really think it's that simple.
