Sad fact about all of this? Jacob Brown with his mobility and hard work would make us much more effective. Shit decision to let him go

Maybe - with the right coaching.

We were absolutely wank with him in the side last season and we’re absolutely wank without him in the side this season.
I struggle to see how he would make a jot of difference to our current side.

Took his goal well yesterday by keeping on moving, though it was a great ball in.

He'd work defenders. He'd make mediocre defenders play it quicker because they are under pressure. Despite what some posters think, hard work and determination are a godsend. It wins possession and allows more talented players the chance to play. Defenders hate it and shit defenders (which this division is full of) can't handle it as they are misguidedly coached that possession is king. It clearly isn't as yesterday's possession stats show.

Its not about Brown (or Gayle or Campbell or MMaee) we could put Mitrovic or Salah into this side and fail to get a goal all season

Reminds me of the Clamor for James Alabi in our prem years, granted this (whatever this is) is not working, Brown wouldn't improve anything for this tactically inept manager.

Massively missed. Top scorer last season wasn't he?
I remember when a few on here tried to argue that running/working hard for the team isn't that important 😂

Massively missed. Top scorer last season wasn't he? I remember when a few on here tried to argue that running/working hard for the team isn't that important 😂 That was because nobody else could score, not because he was good at scoring. He probably spurned more chances than he took. Running /working hard should be the minimum expected of the players. It doesn't make you a good player. Even the most talented players should be working hard for the team. I have never got this idea that you can't expect a player like Campbell to work hard because he's our most talented player and shouldn't have to win the ball back, the other less gifted players are honoured to be on the pitch with him to do that for him.

Considering he has a better record than any of our current squad and is now a Prem player, bit of a no brainer

Still got into the positions to create chances, and still ultimately took more chances than everyone else. Yeah, the rest of what you say is exactly what I'm saying. Yet some fans on here suggest working hard isn't that important.

It's telling ,that there are plenty on here to question the ability of Alfie Doughty, Jacob Brown and jack Clarke.
And yet when they go to Luton and Sunderland, they become better players. Even playing at a higher level, they are more effective.
It's as if , we have some negative force field at the bet365 , that turns effective players into ineffective ones . Effective managers , into ineffective managers .
It's both baffling and worrying.
The one that blows my mind is we seem to have the ability to play plodding negative football, change the manager, coaching set up and playing squad and carry on playing the same negative plodding football as before!
As if nothing has changed. When we have literally changed everything!

Of course he would improve us.
He is a Premier League player; would any of our current attacking players attract any interest from a Premier League club?
Would any of them attract any interest from a Championship club?

Better feet than Leris and takes players on more, more of a goal threat than Leris.
Neither player addresses our need.
And neither are the answer. Because the question is totally moot...

He's gone.... I'd rather forget about him, he hardly set the world alight when he was here anyhow!!! If anything, he split the fans opinion of him, he was either liked, or not... No middle ground!!!
There's plenty of other players out there that could improve us without it being Jacob Brown!!!

Of course he would. Why do you think a Prem club took him and left us with the likes of Gayle?

Would any of them attract any interest from a Championship club? A Premier League player? Technically yes, but in reality he is bit part player who gets 15 minutes at the end of games because he can run around a lot against tiring defences. The team he plays for is unlikely to be in the Premier League next season and I hardly see a queue of Premier League clubs waiting to snap him up once Luton go down. I would be amazed if he starts more than a handful of Premier League games in his whole career.
