Beatles were just the one direction of the day wouldnt say i cant stand them but they were just not all that the who for me were far superior Each to his own obviously, but those are 3 of the most outrageous comments I’ve heard in a long while…next thing you’ll be saying David Cameron has been made a Lord and appointed foreign secretary or other such nonsense. Imagine that happened! It would be like we had fallen through a gap in reality and entered another plane of existence in the multiverse

Just a poor mans backstreet boys. Not a single song better than everybody's 'backstreets back' alright!
Deffo not in the same league as Take That either.

The Beatles were essentially PJ and Duncan standing in front of a mirror. Given how they were hated universally across the globe it's no surprise that they hardly sold any albums.

Each to their own, I think it’s a load of old shite! Fair play to em mind Never liked the rolling stones either. Aside from maybe Angie. I think Painted black would have been better sung by pretty much any other band to ever exist. Although popular, every time I hear it I feel it's never reached it's full potential. The sound quality is bad, the volume on the vocals v actual music could be much better. There early albums, Round and Around and Out of their heads were great, bluesy! Since then, nah! Can't stand Paul McCartney, John was OK and I suspect the driver for their better songs, George wrote some of the best songs and Ringo.... I'm guessing this was driven by McCartney and find it all a bit saaaaaad!

I f***** hate The Beatles They were no Haircuts. Suit wearing, 3 chord twangy Scouse shite Bigger than Jesus, they crucified the wrong ones there Can't work out whether this is sarcasm or not but only someone with no musical understanding would describe anything the Beatles did as '3 chord'.

Fair point I think they.learned a 4th cord in the late 60s

The Beatles were OK, but anyone who thinks Paul Macartney can sing, needs their head looking at.

The Beatles were OK, but anyone who thinks Paul Macartney can sing, needs their head looking at. Many of the great male performers in music cannot sing. It isnt just about that though is it.

I agree I had a record shop selling vinyl for many years and I never once sold a single /Lp by them. On the other hand they are the most collectable group ever world wide ,and their records sell for more money than any other artist by a country mile.

I quite liked the tune on second listen. What was more weird just after I heard it though, was MGMT's new track, which I thought sounded like The Beatles doing Oasis!
