Robbing Twats. 40 quid to get in... Back in the day it was free and you just paid for rides, which was great for families where just the kids want to go on rides. We r going on Monday for the lights, fuck em if they think we are stepping foot anywhere near the pleasure beach. They must lose a ton of revenue now.
Remember fondly the Sentinel Paper Lads trips.
Always carnage always mass punch ups.

Yeah, last time I went Blackpool it was free to enter and walk around the Pleasure Beach and you only paid for the rides. But this was quite some years back, 1995 in fact, when my girlfriend at the time dragged me up there to go watch Pulp at the Empress Ballroom.

If you’ve got a Tesco clubcard you can use the points for the pleasure beach.. worth a look as it is expensive otherwise

Drive past most evenings on way from work and it looked busy every time. Sunday lunch time looked really busy. £40 entry including rides sounds like a great day out to me
How much is alto towers.... £60?
Got to say blackpool itself is looking drab and a little run down these days.

First time off my parents leash. 12 to 16 year old kids smoking and drinking cans of Skoll then throwing up on the rides! A right rowdy convoy of coaches heading up the M6. Great days. Would never be allowed now of course.

Went last summer as a family. Bit pricey but to be fair I preferred it to alton towers. You can get on miles more rides. And its got a burger king nowadays. And the grand national ride is still a good laugh if you ask me. Brought back childhood memories 😊

Thought about taking my 2 year old grandson to see the lights but every time we’ve been it’s full of young lads looking for trouble, that and it’s a dingy shithole.

I last went Blackpool about a year ago, what an absolute shithole the place is. I’ve never been a fan of Blackpool tbh but my god the place is a wreck.
Tbh £40 to get in there is just typical of the UK right now, rip off country

Got to say blackpool itself is looking drab and a little run down these days. Stopped over at Blackpool for a night recently and was as shit as I remembered when I was a kid. Pleasure Beach was probably closed with the weather but the lights and stuff never did owt for me and the wee one was exactly the same to be honest. Went Alton Towers a few days later and didn't bother booking until the day because of the weather and were 210 fucking quid for three of us!! My Mrs went on two rides and all - fortunately with it not being your half term we did get on 13 and Wickerman 10-15 times so wasn't a complete disaster.

Love Blackpool always have. Best place in the country to people watch, plus they have plenty of live groups on all year and the mighty Rebellion punk festival at the Wintergardens. The weekend the festival is on is the busiest weekend of the year and its ace.

When I was in Retail I was on the Display/ Shopfitting team and I did the Blackpool shop opening. It had been on the long term schedule for ages but we ended up doing it in February! There were huge storms all week and we were in a shopping centre behind the tower. The sea was inundating the shopping Arcades and it was so cold, so my memory of Blackpool isn't a good one. I did once go there by train "to have a look" and I remember wondering how people found their Boarding House on the Front each night as they all looked the same to me.

The Boughey Rd newsagent was very near to my Grans house in Darnley street and used to deliver her sentinel. I delivered papers for newsagent in Wolstanton, he always gave us ten bob each to spend as well. Good Friday only day in the calendar when papers weren’t printed.

I used to find the Pleasure Beach much more exciting than Alton Towers. I think this was due to the fact there seemed a very real possibility of death on all of the rides in Blackpool, which added to the adrenaline rush.
