Its a well known fact the busiest time at the turnstiles is in the last 15 minutes.
IMO this is going to make it worse as the usual late commers will be mixing with the fanzone leavers.

IMO this is going to make it worse as the usual late commers will be mixing with the fanzone leavers.

I get the concern re the paths tbh.
The path up to the statue before being repaired felt like it was about to collapse down the bank.
Hopefully it was just a minor thing but more traffic on it will definitely add extra strain.
Ideally they would widen it as it will add time to people getting away.

The club have responded positively to supporter suggestions by developing the Fan Zone, how about constructive comment after seeing how things go for two or three games. The club will be closely monitoring its operation and potential adverse effects on the turnstiles etc. They will no doubt change/alter things to consistently improve. It’s not in their interests not to.
The negatively at times is unbelievable.

I will be in the fanzone tomorrow, and will leave probably around midday to get to the south stand? I’m guessing that I can go back towards the club shop and then cut through passed Bryan’s Motorbike School? Rather than passed Ricardos & sussing out the diversions passed the new away corner? I can anticipate a little bit of teething problems re the new away corner, but hopefully it isn’t too concerning? |

If the heavy hand stewards are up to their old tricks again tomorrow, I’ll be one of the first to be expressing my concerns. Last season they were checking cards outside last season, which isn’t their role and anything out of hand, report it to the head steward inside. This high vigilance doesn’t happened in another of the stands outside of the ground.. so targeting the south stand is unfair. |
