Has anyone got any info on the new away fans corner? I’m sure it’s been mentioned but I can’t remember what was discussed by the club.
I know they’re going in the new corner, but I’m more puzzled to their access in and out of that corner.
I usually go down that path to the corner when I went to my seat in the south stand. They, I take it are going be using that pathway down to there.
If we are in the main south stand now, where are there coaches going be parking now if we are using that area for the south stand? Or is it being re designed a certain way to split it?

We, I take it will access the south stand from the club shop side?

Good while since i went the consultation but sure they said path was being reconfigured so both can use it, coach park is staying where it is with a new path to the away section, access for stoke fans in new home area will be by club shop and through the gates there.

As i say good while ago might even be a new path they mentioned email club sure they will put you right.

I don’t think it’ll be shared access. Home fans will now use the old away car park, away coaches will now be parked on the south car park a bit further down sir Stanley Matthews way. The away fans will enter where the home access was to the corner by the bus stops, and will be fully fenced off at the end of the corner where it meets the family area. Home fans will have to use the other existing path which will be widened.

In the consultation i went they definitely said away coaches will remain where they always were and a new prh built, whether that has changed i don't know but the diagrams that were at the event showed this.

The coach park for the away fans is moving I believe. The car park behind the south stand is now going to be for home fans.

Which personally I feel is a good thing, the away fans coming to the Brit/Bet365 have had it cushy for years. Moving them in the corner and other changes is more beneficial to Stoke fans.

Fair enough i stand corrected, plans have deffo changed from the original consultation for the better by the looks of it as some fans were wondering how it was going to work with away coaches on the original car park.
Edit it does say just recently recieved permission to have car park as a home one 👍

Excuse me being old but what exactly is a fan zone?

From what I can see it is just part of the car park with a few burger vans, a big screen and possibly someone singing. I’m at a loss to see the attraction.

Not really my thing but the club listened to the fans and many seem happy with it. Not harming those who don't use it and nice to have the option.

I don't think it's aimed at the old.

And hopefully it's a step up from burger vans. Otherwise it's a waste of money as we already have burger vans.

It'll all come down to how well it's designed and implemented. If the food and drink is the same crap that we can get inside the ground then it'll flop. Has there been any indication of what food/drink there will be?

Ideally it needs to be outsourced to independent food retailers, with the pitches rented at a reasonable price. Alternating on a regular basis would also make it more appealing.  

A local brewery could be tempted to run the bar? Titanic or someone like that.

the food and drink next season within the ground is going to be markedly improved, with much better quality options available.

Have to say this made me chuckle. Grey sludge pie were a great band, mind.

I think there's a new task and finish group to create a microclimate around the stadium. It's outside FFP so should work.

I'm reliably told that they'll also do a ritual slaughter of at least one moaning bastard in the Fan Zone every matchday, with the possibility of extra slaughters on special days like the winter solstice, bonfire night, and the anniversary of Boaz Myhill kicking the ball out for a corner.

it's a place to meet up before the game, have some (much better than you get inside atm) food & beer , watch the big screen etc
think of it like a vastly superior version of the concourse with added advantage you can meet up with people who will be going in different stands to you

On behalf of the club I would like to apologise for trying to make a few supporters happy and give them something they have wanted for a while. This has obviously caused a lot of distress to all who don’t want to use it. To you miserable barstwards. Please walk past the fan zone and try your very little best to ignore it. It’s not meant for you obviously this being the reason it will only accommodate less than 2,000 people. Otherwise if it was meant for everyone we would have built one the size of the stadium.
