Weird how loads of people bemoaning Bonham having to play on here and social media yet Travers was massively at fault for the first goal today which has barely been mentioned……

Look at his starting position when the ball is played over the top. He should have put his foot through the ball, Wilmot and the oncoming attacker. That's without mentioning his attempt at a dive when he was the wrong side of his near post.......

Shame Tchamadeu can’t play, would have been perfect game to give him a start. Assume Vidigal will be rested after playing a lot more minutes today than expected, Burger and Campbell likely to be out too from the sounds of it.

-------- Travers ---------
Hoover - Wilmot - Edna
Bae - Baker - Laurent - Johnson
---------- Wesley ----------
Haksabanovic - Vidigal
Subs: Bonham, Rose, Gooch, Pearson, Jojic, Gayle, Leris, Mmaee
If Pearson isn't allowed to play due to cards I'd swop him on the bench for Thompson. Players can also still be injured (Edna?, Leris?), I don't know. I've put Gooch on the bench since his passing was awful last time. The midfield had problems and I'd take a chance with Bae from the start. Wesley knows how to collect the ball and showed passing skills and ran like h@ll. A free role with two creators up front. I felt Wesley, Travers and Haksabanovic were our top three players vs Hull, so I'd give them a position in the starting XI. It really doesn't matter after all, since I think we'll be beaten 11-0.

It was shit defending but Travers definitely most at fault. Just come out and put it into the stands if you have to, no way would Bidace have been favourite to get it.
-----------------Bonham------------------
Leris McNally Wilmot Gooch
Thompson Pearson
Haksabanovic Junho Vidigal Gayle
Is something that I think he'll do.

www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/stoke-city-bournemouth-injury-news-8777800Bonham Leris McNally Wilmot Gooch Pearson Sidibe Bae Jojic Wes Haks With the probable absences of the likes of Campbell, Burger, Vidigal, Tchamadeu and Travers, it's probably just a case of not getting tonked and resting up for Bristol City. We haven't got many options in defence with Stevens out, Tcham cup-tied and Rose looking so poor. Bournemouth could go reserve XI, so you never know. Not 100% sure I'd be risking Pearson or Hoever( even if we think Hoever is ready for a start) May as well spice it up by having a look at Sidibe and Jojic.

Bournemouth away is such a crap draw. They will probably see this as a good chance to go deep into a competition, for all that they are in a relegation fight...and we can't match their first team I would surmise.
I'd just play the kids with a sprinkling of older hands as far as possible. Crap for those fans travelling but we need to rest players and get them ready for Saturday.

This competition can't be treated as a priority at the moment result wise.
Regardless of this, Neil should pick his best team in his preferred formation. Ideally 4231 or 433 if he wants to keep his job.
The excuse of the team needing time to gel can only be used if the manager is in fact giving them opportunity to gel. The same 11 in the same system for a few games so they can learn how to play together is the only way any gelling will happen.
The continual disruption is preventing any chance of it.
Play the strongest team available, forget the result and use it as an extra friendly/training session to try and get them gelling and learning how to play together.

He should be committed if he raced out for that He was already yards off his line, he could have got there…… He'd either get rounded or get himself sent off. In terms of percentages he got it right - the player was out wide and no immediate goal threat. Wilmott should have shepherd him wide and the Rose and McNally should have cut out the options in the middle. No way was it the goalies fault.

Bonham Hoever Wilmot McNally Junior Pearson Burger Campbell Johnson the Serbian fella Lowe So for Leicester Travers Whoever (not a typo) Wilmot McNally Gooch Pearson Burger Celtic lad Bae Vidigal Wesley The Leicester team would be how I’d line up week in, week out. Instead, we’ll see 352 and/or 433, and we’ll likely get spanked.
