I've always said that. The manager is not on the pitch and he's not the one showing bad ball control, crap shooting etc. However I'd till rather have TP in charge, he'd soon sort out the wheat from the chaff! Or a modern / younger version of him He is unique though!

The sad thing is I didn't look at the score until 60 mins.I started the season full of anticipation and excitement, and before October I've lost all interest. 4 season tickets I purchased for me and my 3 grandsons again, what a load of dross again ,so disappointed. The saddest thing for me is that I didn’t look at the score until this morning. I am on holiday in Greece (2 hours in front) but in brighter times I’d have stayed up all night to get the Stoke score or scoured the local area for a taverna showing the game or at least found some godforsaken way of getting a radio commentary. . . . anything! These days I just can’t be arsed! From a Season Ticket holder of close on 50 years. Nowhere near as dedicated a follower as you, Rob, but yes, it's a sad state of affairs when apathy is the most common emotion amongst Stoke fans most of the time these days. Certainly is for me. I can see crowds starting to fall away this season. To be fair, they've held up remarkably well since going down, I'd have put them about 5k lower already by now, but I get the feeling that this season of mediocrity or worse might be the breaking point for a lot of folk.

What does Neil see during a match as it seems to be different to the supporters. A switched on manager can change tactics during the game if it's not working.
