Despite the awful result, it nice to see that the ref was alright.
He didn’t get anything obviously wrong from what I saw.

They chopped us every time we tried to forward. They fell to the floor every challenge and the ref fell for every one of them

He missed a clear penalty for us in the first half. Reply showing it would unlikely be given by VAR

Has that injury time rule been scrapped, then? A massive shame if so.

I missed that. What happened? Clear handball and he standing six yards away. I think it came of his thigh first which diverted the ball so unlikely to be given.

He was awful but he could have been in the pay of The Coates family and we’d have lost somehow

He missed a clear penalty for us in the first half. Which could have been a game changer if he had given it. Only if Hull decided not to play the ball in our 16 yard box for the rest of the game…..

Referee was diabolical. Where is this time wasting directive ? It took them 2 minutes to walk back to the centre circle after scoring. Endless subscriptions and other various time wasting both in first half and second . 8 minutes given all told . Should have been at least double that with a few yellow cards too

We’ve had and sadly will have far worse refs than him today.

What's happened to the letting contact go a bit now? Everytime we went near hull they fell over and the ref gave every single one from the first minute to the last.
This for me is spoiling the game more than the time wasting but that directive Seems to have got lost on the championship same as time wasting has. Just watching the Spurs game and a 50/50 challenge which would have gone to hull today didn't even stand a chance of getting given.

All I will say on this subject is that, as it stands, referees are the least of our worries and problems.

Not a pen for me and not an excuse. Ref was very good The ref was awful from start to finish. The peno was clear as day, they had professional fouls all over and Seri's foot lunge when Laurent had a shooting opportunity was orange minimum.

Yes I agree, the ref was decent today. Just the usual stoke giving a foul away every time we make a challenge for the ball. But we’re used to that.

It seems that refs now are giving fouls when they see a player fall to the ground rather than when they actually see a foul being committed. And for that sake of balance he was also giving fouls to us where I only saw our player falling over, I didn’t see their player actually doing anything wrong.
