And because it is woke and points out discrimination. I'd criticise it for being woke but I wouldn't criticise that or anything else for pointing out discrimination. I myself point out discrimination when I said it and I'm the opposite to woke. You have completely contradicted yourself

Are you denying criticising it for being woke? Not this again, please don’t embarrass yourself again Don’t worry. It doesn’t embarrass me that you dislike a show for calling out discrimination (as well as for not being funny).

Loads of young people outside of London think the green agenda is total bollocks. This idea that it's only old people who question the authoritarian, modern day, socially approved, conformist standpoint on subjects like climate change, race baiting and the trans debate is factually incorrect and intentionally divisive.

In much the same way there are old Conservatives, there also sadly loads of fucking well to do, old, white, self loathing liberals kicking about.

Is it "only old people" who do that, or have you just decided that's the case? I'd have said it's much more likely to be younger people attracted to whatever platform Russell Brand et al are on. Older people are much more likely to get their info via the MSM which, as we all know, is fully supportive of the "conformist" standpoint on all those things you listed, especially the Express, Mail, Telegraph...😉 Although, in relation to climate change, younger people challenging the "conformist" position must be equally worried that, if they're wrong, it's their futures that they're fucking up. Tricky.

Throw in the entire corporate world and public sector and you've got your modern day conformity. It's the likes of Talk TV and GB News that are challenging this new, hideous form of conformity - Ie - Daring to question he/she pronouns, mutilation of young boys/girls, diversity & inclusion madness and the idea that the world is ending. In much the same way those who dared question those (now proven) dumb as shit lockdowns that you supported were confined to the above news outlets and NOT mainstream outlets. As much as you can try and pretend that conformist views are aligned with right wing politics, it's anything but that and I'd suggest you have zero experience (as I do) of actually living under a genuinely right of centre of government as opposed to a bunch of corrupt, liberal globalists. Aren't you still clinging onto the idea that Keir Starmer is the answer?

Good to see you've got your own personal pollsters back in action, its been a while.. 😂 Good to see you're still being as hypocritical as ever 😉 The subtle difference being if I make a claim I tend to substantiate it with some peer reviewed polls or studies. I don't think many people are fooled by the 'I have no evidence but I'm right' approach taken by that Tory MP who, quite rightly, got annihilated on NewsNight last week 🙂 Having said that, the Daily Mail have been 'getting away with it' for years, though theirs is a slightly different approach, they occasionally present evidence and then deliberately misinterpret it, safe in the knowledge that their readers will take their word for it 🤦

I think there are mixed views across the country, and in the midlands and rural areas of the north in particular, there are a greater number of people who are not in favour of a net zero policy compared with in the south.

Yes, so by including those other sources you mentioned, there is a whole range of opinions across the MSM which older people are more likely to get their news from, whereas younger people have embraced alternative platforms for their info, so I'd be surprised if it was just the old who do the questioning for both those reasons. In a sense I'm agreeing with you, just not sure where you got the impression it was just the old who do the questioning? Not sure I ever said "Keir Starmer is the answer" - although, given the choice, I'd take him over the present corrupt lot of charlatans currently adopting scorched-earth policies ahead of an assumed general election defeat.

As usual another brand is having it's "bud light" moment and going woke, going broke. This time it's the mainstream media's obsession in utilising the particularly dull and noticeably out of depth, Alex Scott. The collapse of Football Focus will not be the first or the last to fall at the hands of bad, box ticking, exec decisions on recruitment.
There is absolutely no way on earth she would be presenting the likes of Football Focus, let alone the World Cup, if she wasn't a black female. She's ordinary at best and let's not pretend a fat, old white bloke with her talent, or lack of, would be doing the same job.
Select people on their fucking ability, not their gender or race.
Convince me why I'm wrong and why Alex Scott is good enough to present the nation's main football shows? What has she got that makes her exceptional?

I think she is a good presenter on the whole. Better than some, not as good as others. She may well never have got her opportunity had she not been a black woman. I expect the 140 odd caps for England helped too. How many far less qualified (and much worse) male pundits get given opportunities? Danny Murphy, Jermaine Jenas, Martin Keown, Michael Owen to name but a few (there are tons more). How many other women (black or otherwise) who would be great presenters for sports shows have been overlooked for men (white or otherwise) in the past? Football focus has gone into decline because it is completely outdated more than because of the presenter. If you are right and Scott is the problem, the BBC will find a replacement for Scott (man, woman, black white - there are so many options now) and she won’t be used again if she is really responsible for the deterioration of viewers. But, like I said, I doubt that it is her that is the problem.

The cast of match of the day have always been a group of halfwits incapable of providing any meaningful analysis beyond what an ordinary bloke could do sitting around the table at a pub. They’re all still in a very cushy job. One that is supposedly the best football pundit job around (pay wise/audience etc). You’re not telling me thag Lineker, Murphy, Shearer et al are among the best pundits in the World, surely? Yet, they are occupying jobs made for those roles. Hiring people for these jobs has always been about ticking boxes. It just used to be that the only box that needed to be ticked was “white guy who played for England” because the only demographic they cared about targeting was white males. While that’s a big demographic for football, there’s always room to grow. There are plenty examples of bad quality in good positions, regardless of race, gender or sexual preference. AN is a good example of a middle aged white man doing terribly in a very high paid job.

And I would ask the same but inserting the pundits I think are much worse than Scott in your question. What do you particularly dislike about Scott? I am sure this isn’t the case, but your opening post suggests the fact she is a woman and her skin colour are the problems for you. I am sure you have some other reasons (perhaps because she was brave enough to wear the rainbow armband in Qatar unlike the rest of them!?).
