This forum has gone to shit. The levels of abuse have gone way too far. We're all absolutely gutted after another defeat but lines have been well and truly crossed tonight. Lines have been crossed for sure ...the manager ... I am off to Dubai to top up my tan ... vidigal...I am off to Paris on holiday... in the middle of the season... Just before the busiest time of the season ( 10 games in the next 30 days ? ) . Lines have been crossed...but who by ? AN or the fans ? AN , all day long, in my book . Contrast that to Mark Robins, who stayed at home and hammered down a system and pattern of play to try and navigate through some tough games, and to kickstart his and Coventry's season. Last two games a 3 nil win away and 1 nil win at home. I suppose the old saying of "you only get out what you put in" has some merit after all? Good for Robins... |

What's all this veiled references to AN being in Dubai following our dire performance on Sat? Is this false news? With a very winable game on Tuesday only 2/3 days later there can be no possible justification, even if work related, forsuch an absence. IF TRUE. He was in Dubai before the Blackburn game. Most the squad had a holiday. About time they took the players to Lympstone instead of Dubai. Treating them like Rock Stars hasn't worked for the last 7 years. Let the Marines beast the fuck out of all of them for 2 weeks. |

Coventry are higher up the table than us , despite having to sell gyokeres and hamer ( which is huge for Coventry) Robins had no chance of replacing gyokeres and hamer with better at Coventry. He has done a very tidy job in very difficult circumstances. |

I'm usually one that gives managers quite a generous benefit of doubt but there comes a moment where that instantly stops and that was tonight.
Neil is not the right man for this job, he's taking us backwards. The team is getting worse, the individuals look worse and the tactics, formations and subs are just baffling each and every match.
We cannot repeat previous mistakes and dwell on the decision. Now is the time to act, sack him now, new manager gets half a dozen games to assess what he has, a full transfer window to decide what he needs and a season that can just about be salvaged.
That's what I'd hope, but lets be honest, it's going to either be a limping home to 17th place and go again next season with more promises or it will get too toxic and the owners will be forced to react rather than be proactive, by then the January window will probably be close to finish and we will rush into another pointless recruitment.
Just sigh, I'm embarrassed sometimes being a stoke fan, it's upsetting to admit that.

Was going to get dogs abuse at the end of the game but didn’t come over to the fans, he knew.
Subs terrible, wrong and always too late. Game management at 2-1 up absolutely woeful. We’ve played a team that haven’t scored more than 1 goal at home in a year and no wins in 13… result, a 4-2 loss.
Fans not turning on the players because they know there’s quality there, Tcham needs to play also. Manager has to go.

Just got home. Ref was diabolical so let’s get that out of the way.
Pearson and Johnson aside (shock) we showed we have a great squad of players with bags of potential.
There was a time in the first half where Clark and McNally have played about 5 one/twos between them and the centre mids are on the half way line waiting for it to be lumped. Poor coaching.
It was clear as day Mmaee was cream crackered along with Campbell, and Bae for the time being looked he had some fuel in the tank still. So he keeps Mmaee and basically reduces us to 9 men.
Then when we are drawing he brings our best player (Burger) off. He’s 23 and 10 stone piss wet through I’m sure he could manage another 10.
Johnson offered absolutely f**k all. Much like his gaffer he’s benign and ordinary. I text my PNE supporting mate in anger and he said he will turn up when he needs a contract.
Pearson, good character but he is what he is. No transition through the midfield because of him. He couldn’t lace Whelan or Delap’s boots.
Anyway, good night. Neil Out. The players and fans need some new energy and tactical nous.

His players, he’s had 5 months with them and can’t bed down a consistent style of play.

Why the bleeding hell do our right backs refuse to use their left foot. Gooch and Hoever absolutely shocking for it. Both had opportunities to put a dangerous ball in or a shot respectively and bottled it.
Surely they practice that scenario daily?

There are loads of decent candidates out there, many of which don’t need to be poached from rival clubs (almost always a recipe for failure) - you just need to put the effort in and recruit accordingly - any other profession would not tolerate such a protracted period of poor performance from an incumbent bordering on rank incompetence. It cannot go on - this season is very much salvageable if we act NOW …. |

You can’t see a replacement because Stoke City’s radar does not go beyond the end of its nose!! Look to the continent and certainly there are plenty of managers to choose from. If available I would definitely go for Hassenhuthl who had done a very decent job at Southampton before they decide to do a harakiri replacing him with that silly dwarf |
