Ennis, for example, played a number of games last season as a second striker in a central attacking midfield position. He played as the main attacker in most of his games, with someone else typically doing that role. Switching to 433 and attacking means little to me. Of course we attacked more. We were losing. We always attack more when we are losing and it always leads to nothing. Once the opposition has scored, the game is over. We’ve played 433 for most of this season and we’ve lost considerably more games than we’ve won while doing it. We sacked MON because 3 at the back doesn’t work. Ennis as a second striker is very different to Bae/Laurent and Cundle as they have no pace or end product. If we set up with 1 Striker with Junuor and Thompson wide (one of whom lacks the technique to attack, the other the pace), we will end up like the last two games, surrendering possession and field position. W heave enough talent to be comfortably top half, this manager doesn’t have the injuries AN had and has 4 new players, time to deliver not set up to defend. Pick the right players, organise the team and we will progress. Pick 5 midfielders and we are going down. A front three from Campbell, Maaee, Ennis and Campbell is competitive as is a midfield from Laurent, Burger, Pearson and Bae. We don’t have enough talent to be top half, that’s why we are in a relegation battle. MON was sacked with an entirely different team. His results and formations are irrelevant to us. Bonham, Campbell, Wilmot and Thompson are pretty much the only regulars from his time here. I like Junior to be honest. I think that he looked like our best attacking outlet before he went to play for Cameroon. He may well have just come back jaded from losing out in his first major tournament. Honestly, I think that Thompson will score more than Campbell this season as well. He already has twice the number.

The job of the manager is to get the best out of this team, including everyone. Right now, we have worse form over the games without Mmaee than we did with him. So get that up ya, cos the rest of what you are saying is irrelevant and just speculation. We’re in a results business "Get that up ya" 😂 Are phrases like that part of your modern management style, or do you just stick to condescension? My rules of management don’t apply in your case. You are the oatcake Mmaee

To think 4 years ago with Ty Campbell, Nathan Collins, Harry Souttar and Jo Bursik we had the nucleus of a decent team. It’s easy to be on the outside looking in Lawrie. Of course you’re bob on. How we came to rely on loans and free transfer journeymen is the million dollar question. Am I correct in thinking that Bonham and Thompson (examples) reflect our longest current serving players on the road to promotion? Extremely sad if you take emotions out of the equation and take a few moments to reflect on where we are as a club Don’t get me going on the loan policy of this club. It failed miserably under Neil last season particularly those that came in the Jan window. Remember them doing a great job, having beaten Sunderland away 5-1, until the 50 points were up when we beat Coventry away 4-0. We were all looking at a top ten finish but the players all went down the beach and the last 7 games gave us 2 points.

Can’t think of any successful loanees over the last 15 years tbh…and a few pointless ones.

And by the time he's fit, the season will be in its death throes and he rides to our rescue and saves us from relegation.

Would explain why he wasn't part of the team when Ty and Vidigal played this week. Interesting that its come out via TeamTalk/Fraser Fletcher, who apparently knows Ryans management/agent, is this as much about optics, injured for 3-4 weeks rather than bombed out of first team

Can’t think of any successful loanees over the last 15 years tbh…and a few pointless ones. They are just an expensive waste of time. Kids get scooped up on high contracts. Most of the first (and second) loans in the Championship don’t work because the kids aren’t “ready”. I.e., they should actually be playing at a far lower level but their wages and the ludicrous loan fees stop even smaller clubs from doing that.

How the hell did he get injured unless one of his team mates kicked up the arse to get him moving?

This is what I think we should have come out with from the start!! Knee injury that keeps him out for 8 weeks and then 4 weeks for fitness......would have meant not airing our dirty laundry and trying to keep some kind of value in the player when its comes to moving him on in the summer!

He was injured earlier in the season as well wasn’t he? Maybe clubs won’t be willing to take a chance if he keeps getting injured…

I've got a feeling we'll never see him again for the first team. How much did we pay up front, and how much in installments based on number of games and success? ![8-|](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/rY_vRFLA3mqqdMbEG4cF.gif)

Played for Standard Liege from the age of 17 but disagreements with club management saw him loaned out to Waasland Beveren. Still in his teens and falling out with his bosses, yeah nothing wrong there .
