With a squad of 30 if all fit, you should be able to release one player for three games. Unfortunately he's 50% of our good players

His English is pretty good. He must have had some kind of base from school. Surprised he lives "in an apartment, 10 minutes from the training ground (wonder where that is?) Assumed he'd base himself maybe in Manchester. I wondered if we'd go the extra mile and set him up with a Korean family for the first few months or something

EDIT - scrap that. I've now watched the interview and he said it's a 10 minute drive to the training ground! That'll teach me!

I’m lead to believe they both caused chaos with their over exuberant lifestyles. 😱 I wonder if the club own the apartment or it’s just a coincidence?

Just knew they'd both lived in that block and that they'd both caused mither. It does seem like a massive coincidence though I agree. I imagine Junho won't be so disrespectful of his neighbours anyway.

So you don't think he gets leathered most nights and blasts K-pop at full blast whilst he sits in his hot tub with Stoke-on-Trent's best brass dancing around him then?

Possibly got an apartment by Hilton Garden?

I've played 5-aside at Michelin Trent Vegas (right next to Clayton Wood) every Friday night for going on 25 years and during Arismendi's time as a Stoke player, I can count the amount of times that I DIDN'T see him in Riverside Chippy at 8.30pm each week on the fingers of one hand.

Just find a foster family for players? They do with academy players, don't they? Don't know if it's a thing with pros. But just think dropping a 20yo Korean into Stoke-on-Trent as his first experience outside Korea must be so strange. Just thought we might think outside the box, and set him up with some kind of Korean community in a livelier city, and buy him a train season ticket. To be fair, we may be going out of our way to help him - and he does credit two members of staff with helping him a lot. But he said in a video before Christmas that he was "very lonely" - or words to that effect, so don't know if there's any more we can do?

I think he's doing remarkably well considering the massive lifestyle and cultural changes he's having to adapt to.. It must have been so lonely for him at times, especially around Christmas, but it sounds as if the club are doing everything they can to help him..He's a joy to watch at times and I hope he succeeds and goes on to have a great career.

Yeah even dropping him in Manchester where there’s China town (I know he’s Korean, but there will be a lot more similarities between Chinese and Korean then Korean and English culture). We also don’t know if he wanted to stay close/local.

Possibly got an apartment by Hilton Garden? I stay at that place lots, and see him and his entourage regularly on a Friday night before a game in the reception area. I do have a picture but that would possibly blow my cover….They do like a stone island coat/jumper so I’m guessing Terraces is a go to, or maybe that dodgy vape/lighter/phone case/barbers

Fantastic lad. Composed, serious, no prima Donna stances, focused on his football, no clubbing, no body paint funny hairstyles etc. A great lad who loves his football and just wants to improve and also do his utmost best for the club that employs him and pays his wages. Make no mistake, he will go very far. Hope we manage to keep him for at least another season. If we stay up (of that I am super confident) and manage to get our act together (of that I’m a bit less convinced) then we will see him as one of the great protagonists of the Championship next year

Then you are stuck in a bowl for the rest of your life with a boring bully called Sid.

Just looked, there’s at least a dozen Korean restaurants (inc. takeaways) in Manchester so obvs some sort of community there. You’d hope that someone with half a brain at SCFC would have pointed this out to Junho and arranged visits etc
