Interesting that he seems to have been told he’ll be in the first team. I suppose if the fee of 2 million is to be believed then he clearly will be at least a bench player pretty much from the off. He definitely seems to have the creative spark we’ve been missing bar the odd Powell performance for years. I can imagine him starting on the bench but then usurping Johnson relatively soon if things go to plan. I guess he's been told squad rather than team. I hope he understands the difference if he doesn't start the next few matches.

Slick from Jared here sports.news.nate.com/view/20230828n25837?mid=s0301Opportunity seems to be presented right away. “I wanted to go to a club where I could play right away,” he said. “I decided to transfer there because Stoke actively wanted me.” Bae Jun-ho's agent, whom we met at the departure hall, said, "There were many proposals for negotiations. However, there were some places that considered starting with the reserve team or going on loan to other places." expressed,” he explained. "Stoke recently lost to Millwall. After that match, the scouting manager sent me a message saying 'Bae Jun-ho should have played'." Bae Jun-ho stands at the center of massive change. Stoke recruited 15 new faces this summer, including Bae Jun-ho. Only three players remained among the best 11 last season. In this situation, Bae Jun-ho's transfer fee is the third highest among Stoke freshmen. This shows Stoke's expectations well. "I have the confidence to match the picture Stoke draws. Bae Jun-ho said, "I haven't talked directly with the club, but they seems to be using me as an attacking midfielder," and said, "I think that's a place where I can show my strengths well," He hasn’t talked directly with the club. That’s interesting… I don't think that they do these days necessarily. They leave it to their agents to act as go between.

He hasn’t talked directly with the club. That’s interesting… I don't think that they do these days necessarily. They leave it to their agents to act as go between. There was a supposed quote that I read earlier which said he had spoken to the Manager which was one of the reasons he had decided to come. Other clubs in the Premier and similar were talking of maybe sending him on loan and he wanted to sign where he had a chance of playing. As usual take all the reporting with a pinch of salt.

A player the likes of which sadly few will see today. Pure magic. I could drool now remembering watching him perform his effortless artistry on a football pitch. What a player. I also saw Sir Stan play to, and have been double blessed.

Surely the problem will be sorted in 4 hours As long as they don't use the same IT department as my employer and don't input the wrong cost centre on the internal referral form.

Full agreement from me. Two of my strongest Stoke memories. Firstly standing in the Butler Street Paddock, watching Alan Hudson and Geoff Salmons combine their skills in midfield. Secondly was seeing the return of Stanley Mathews against Huddersfield in 1961. My Grandfather said to me: "You watch this man. You will never see his like again!"
One day the Magic will return, although we have got close a few times, such as with Hoekstra and Bojan.

Surely the problem will be sorted in 4 hours Judging by the bloke they've just interviewed on BBC News, sounds like it's a total shitshow! They don't know what's wrong, or what caused it - so he's predicting hundreds of flights landing in continental Europe and passengers having to spend the night over there?!

Certainly not a transfer that's gone under the radar and announced out of the blue here We know everything apart from his seat number on the plane. Looking forward to seeing him play. Hope it works out, he seems seriously excited by the move.

Don't forget John Mahoney adding the bite to the midfield. Possibly the best midfield in the country at the time. Hudson is still the best player I've seen live.

Let’s hope he doesn’t stop off in Torino…. Or diverted anywhere near Moscow😱 Sky Sports confirm that Jun-ho Bae has passed his medical and will take his place on the front line near Tokmak in the coming days. He will sign a four-year contract, with his family set to receive five litres of cooking oil and a sack of potatoes.

NATS have confirmed that UK airspace isn't closed, but flow restrictions are in place. Maybe priority will be given to long-haul flights already in the air, especially those with VIPs on board...

Stan and Huddy? Both magicians but impossible to compare them because they played different roles. Stan could beat any fullback in the world with his feint and quick burst of pace to leave them stranded before a pinpoint cross, and Huddy was the most graceful player ever to stroke a ball in the thick mud back in those days. A feat that defies belief. I've seen them both live but if I had to choose one I would like to see again then it would be Huddy. There's been no one since playing for Stoke that comes close to his beautiful talent.
