I'm old enough to remember when Greenhoff arrived at Stoke where at first he constantly got slagged off by some, he had plenty of detractors. In fact he was on a different wavelength to most of the team as was pretty obvious and when better players arrived culminating with Hudson we saw Greenoff for what he was, a superb player.
Junho will improve with better players around him who can keep up with his speed of thought and ability, he's class. ....and no, I'm not comparing him with Greenhoff.

19/20 years old, playing in a league the other side of the world, hardly speaks the lingo, learning his trade. Fucking harsh some of us supporters are. He's got a lot of learning to do. He can be very naive on the ball, he loses it in some dangerous area's. I'll take Bae over the likes of:Campbell, Laurent, Baker, Haksabanovic and Manoef any day of the week

Some crazy comments in this thread, has the potential to be a cut above this level and much better once moved centrally, work out a system where what he brings delivers results and we’ll be much higher in the table

Absolutely delighted he’s having a few average games - means we should get to keep him for another year. Same as Burger. Both obviously destined for the top so the longer we can keep them the better. Last thing we need is for the to have a sensational couple of games which attracts attention.

Best player on the pitch today. Sorba Thomas might have a claim for it, but thought Bae was excellent overall.

Everyone bar Iverson and probably Hoever for his goal was poor. That includes our resident south Korean. He was far from effective today. 0 shots. 0 created chances. In spells he did well, as did the rest of the team, then 3 minutes later they disappeared again. 0 control of the ball and 0 control on midfield. The fact that we were very very poor in the final third should show that he had a poor game. Can you fact check please before spouting shite… put Burger through for his 1-1 miss and pretty sure he created one for Haks Agreed he was class all match - particularly the second half.

Was he fuck poor 🤦🏻 Not at his best but still one of our better players and making things happen, as well as getting back to help defend Everyone bar Iverson and probably Hoever for his goal was poor. I think you're being a bit harsh,we were far from decent I agree, but reached the final third quite easily but then fucked it up in the final eighth.

I think I heard some prick behind me call him an unfunny, generic asian name at some point,it was followed by silence.Another bloke shouted(sotto voce) to the asian steward looking at the crowd, doing his job..."what the fuck you looking at Gunga Din...?" etc etc..I mean, for fucks sake, surrounded by quite a few young uns as well.

He runs himself into the ground more than most in the team,i watched him today and really admired his effort but I think its a bit of his undoing aswell.Hes so gifted and would be far more dangerous in quick spirts, a la Bojan, who he remindes me of.

I'd send Junho back to Korea and tell him to grab five of his mates to sign for us. Korean/Japan players have a better work ethic. Not trying to play well is a disgrace for them personally. Their football has since evolved and improved. They are more tactically aware, faster and stronger and are more willing to run their guts out than a lotta other players. And there's a helluva lot of them at good clubs nowadays.

Asian work ethic in general is the best argument against all of the diversity equity inclusion rubbish

My 16 year old lad has just rang me all excited as he's literally just been chatting to the little maestro in Market Street Manchester, says he's a really friendly bloke (as we can all tell anyway) and his English is really good.
He asked him if he lived in Manchester and he said "not yet" so I Imagine he may be apartment hunting........

Not sure how accurate this is on transfermrkt. But when looking at the squad I noticed he had the lowest points per game out of any player to play 10+ games. Something like 0.7 points per game.
Shocked me.

Shocked me. I bet even Jazzy Dublin thinks Transfermrkt is shit. A pointless site that gives iffy information about where a player may or may not have played during a game, and made up transfer market values.

Well I’ll poo poo this a bit, I don’t think he plays in the front three, really a 10. Neat and tidy yes, but not much threat as a forward player. Might improve next season but not the new coming as many are making out.

He glides past players and is so quick on the turn, he just needs the consistency in his overall play and confidence to shoot more IMO. He's improved his game massively already in his 1st big step up in class this season, so I've no doubt there's even more to come from our South Korean king.

Might improve next season but not the new coming as many are making out. His end product has improved massively over the last couple of months and he’s still 20, if he keeps improving how he has been he will be a very good player. I think he’ll probably be a better 10 in the future but even as a winger he’s more of a threat than any of the others we have except maybe Manhoef who we’ve not seen enough of yet really

Hopefully get Hoever back, a left back, dominant centre half and hopefully Iverson and the squad would look good.

Reading this thread and I can't believe the amount of posters playing down how good he is. Even if he hasn't got the end product nailed down yet, he's the most gifted player technically that we've had in years, who floats about the pitch actually able to keep the ball. Honestly, he is a fantastic player who will go on to far bigger things than the Bet365. I can't believe there's anyone who can't see that.
I think this being completely new to him actually helps - he plays with a freedom that you don't often see. Hopefully that doesn't get drummed out of him with the more time managers get with him in England. Just let him play.
