prem,
We fly to Salzburg on the Thursday at 6am from Stansted and are staying at the Lasserhof hotel (Google it). it's slap bang in the middle of the new town and just around the corner from the Die Weisse beer hall - supposedly a fantastic place to get absolutely trolleyed! Looks okay on t'internet.
3 of us in a, ahem, triple room, and it's £30 a night each - easily the best value for a triple I've found in Salzburg. Dunna forget - it's Mozart festival time, so prices do tend to go higher than normal.
Plenty of hostels and other hotels mate, but expect a double to be about the same price as my triple.
If you're planning to be there on the Thursday let me know and we'll try to get all the STokies in Salzburg to meet up.
Rudolfskai, by the river, is their version of trinity Street - but with piles of Werner Schnitzel on the pavement rather than a plethora of donner! two Irish bars on this street as well.
We will be at the Steiglkeller (again, Google it, it looks tops) for a few and also the Augustineer and then probably hit Rudolfskai around midnight?
We fly back on the Saturday night at 9pm.

How much you get flights for? Ours were £90 return which isn't bad.
Friday - depends if we play or not. If we do and it's within 3 hours - we'll drive and stay overnight where the game is. If there's no game, we'll get a car, do some sightseeing in the mountains and lakes and then return to Salzburg to be violently sick again.
Conna wait!

Salzburg, very nice place. Stayed in a 4 star near to the Railway Station (again cant remember the name!). Zell Am Zee, ahhh...got married there a few years ago, and it is a nice small town. Innsbruck is worth a trip too.
