The statue for Tony Pulis needs to be at least as big as one of those terrifying 200 foot monuments that can be still be found in far flung places of the former Soviet Union, with spiral steps up the inside, so you can climb up and take a breathtaking view over the five towns from a panoramic window just above the peak of his cap. A bit like Talos from Jason and the Argonauts. Overlooking the A500 so Arsenal fans pee their women's undies as they drive past There's a male one about this size near Paphos with his dong almost reaching his chest, should put PC's head on it, the one with the transfer dong smile

Looks like a man who takes no prisoners.
We'll need players in the squad who'll get us scalps if we want to be successful in this league.

We will need utility players. If we want to have a strong squad but also have one that where players are happy with their minutes, it stands to reason that we will need players capable of doing more than one job. A Serie A “utility player” could also be a hell of a lot better than the Danny Pugh version we once had. “Premier league” Danny Pugh? Danny Pugh was a Championship play who got the opportunity to play (very sparingly) in the PL. I’m not diminishing that feat. It’s far more than most will ever do. Leris however is a utility player who has spent most of his career (so far) in Serie A.

I like the sound of him, looks like he's a non-stop player who'll give everything for the shirt.
Welcome to Stoke Mehdi.

Last time we had a graduate from the Juventus academy, we all know how that went.
Welcome Mehdi. Please don’t be as bad as Vinny P.

Outstanding signing.
That's right flank sorted.
Just a goalscorer to lead the line and a dominant leader at centre back to go.

Any chance we can get some street food stalls outside the ground to go with this new international flavour? 😉

So possibles now: Back up RB (assuming we don't think Leris plugs that gap, and doubtful we do?) 4th CB (starter calibre?) Burger Bae Striker LB if Tymon goes maybe? Whether we'd do anything else if Campbell did go

I'd say you can add 2 more central midfielders and a right back to that list They are players we already have, so new acquisitions are backups. The CF and CB are the two key players for the starting 11 and will push us to promotion. Without, them it will be upper mid-table. We have a loan left and must have some money left.

I’ve just noticed what shirt number he’s been given.
Sorry Mehdi, you’ll never be him, I don’t care how well you play.

There’s going to be some confusion pre-match at the next game when some folk don’t realise the sssshhhhhhhh isn’t for TJ but because everyone wants to hear how the new signing names are announced. After today Nigel Johnson will be so glad he is retired! 😁 Perhaps all of our previous managers have been unfairly judged. They’ve been constantly struggling to overcome “The Johnson Veto”.

I'm now envisaging Nigel Johnson as Russia on the UN Security Council. "No Nigel, we don't recognise the results of your referendum and it was in Tbilisi, not Atlanta..."

The biggest football club on earth. Genghis Dublin at it again. It’s still amazing to me how working for Google was thrown as an insult at him…. It’s almost as if the whole (never mind footballing) world has moved on from the days of appointing the manager of the league one club across the road as a director, and trusting your entire future to his hand written contacts book.
