If we’re buying this lad we need him in this country getting acclimated. We have an academy to nurture him if he’s not ready for the first team squad; buying him and leaving him in Serbia seems mental. Depends really. If he is not in immediate first team plans and he is a development project and he can't speak English for example (i think someone on here pointed out he cant speak English) then it might be better to loan him back there and get him an English tutor so he can learn the language for 12 months whilst still developing his football. Keeping him in our academy where he hasn't got a clue what people are saying might really stunt his development. The other option of course is having the tutor here but how much does his footy slow down in the meantime. Unless I’ve missed something how do you know he can’t speak English? From what I’ve seen a poster said he didn’t think he could based on he’s from a small town? Now you’re running through the scenarios of sorting him an English tutor around his training schedule 🤣 |

And how do you think you development players that can't speak the language? Google translate? |

not a fan of loaning players back if you pay a good fee for them the position we are in they should at least make the first team squad,we have seen players bought by other clubs for good money and loaned out straight away,and they have not played for there new clubs,Sima was bought by Brighton for 7 Million 2 years ago never played for them loaned out again to Rangers Jack Harrison another city stepped in and stopped him joining us never played for them sold to leeds, the list goes on and on, But the other side of that mitoma was bought and loaned out. They have another winger coming through who’s been loaned out. Mac Alister was bought and loaned out too Yeah it happens loads, teams with good scouting networks usually do it in instances where a permit might not be done yet; or in other instances they want them to get first team football etc. If we’re getting a couple more in these sort of positions I’m not totally against it if it helps his development, but I’d definitely prefer him at the club. Due diligence would have been done and maybe they think he’s better suited waiting another year but we feel his value could soar in that time so we’re paying up now. Who knows. |

Schools in Serbia teach English from age six onwards. It’s highly likely he speaks decent English.

And another of his old pals who was with him at PNE and Norwich is head of recruitment there Hearts game v Rosenborg next Thursday is being shown on BBC Scotland, so there's a chance we may get to see him in action shortly. |

Their 3rd game this weekend I think, also they have to start European qualifiers really early being a "lesser" league |

I don't get it personally. If we're spending £1m on a player why would he not be involved with our first team squad? I don't think we're in a position personally whereby we can be spending big chunks of money to then loan prospect straight back out!

I suppose the only people in a position to know that are the money men at Stoke. It could be that we didn't want to take a risk someone else coming in for him if he has a good season.
