Hoever was turned inside out by a very good player who’ll do the same to a lot better defenders than him. He was very good and the game swung in our favour when he was inexplicably subbed off. I heard Martin’s pre match presser yesterday and he said he was surprised he didn’t leave in the summer as he expected but I suppose with the amount of money they paid for him you’d expect him to be a top player which he obviously is

Injuries are always going to happen.
That's why you should never go into a season with fewer than 2 first-team options available for every position in your team.
Only a complete idiot would create a situation for themselves where this isn't the case due to selling players late on in the transfer window.

Campbells was 100% a hamstring pull, he went darting through and pulled up. Change dart for amble and your spot on

Jan 1st is a long way off. We simply have to get another CB in. We do, but we knew that back in August. It was reckless not to sign a 4th CB before the window shut. Maybe we can pick up a free agent before January, but it’ll be slim pickings. Our defence has been neglected by so many managers, it makes no sense to me.

As more players are “ in the treatment room “ there is an increasing danger of players being rushed back to play A couple of (very?) short term loans may be very necessary? It’s a worry and a big disappointment as I think we have made some good signings

Never again will I cry unrealism on Football Manager as my nine hundredth injury notification of the season rolls in during October forcing me to pick 'grey' players from my U18s for the next seventeen games.

There was a quote from Neil on the Sentinel site saying "even if we got a free in, it'd take a month for them to be available, so it wouldn't help us in the short-term anyway"
The CB situation, coupled with only having three full-backs looked bizarre on September 1st, and is looking even more bizarre now
You could chuck in not getting another proper Number 9 option in, knowing that Mmaee had already been out for 3 weeks on deadline day and Wes couldn't offer much at all in terms of any kind of Plan A

We genuinly seem jinxed re injuries and have rotten luck. There’s clubs with smaller squads than us that have had no injuries. The bigger concern for me is why we’re picking up so many injuries.

Unless someone like Clark has been hammering the all you can eat buffets I’m pretty sure he could get through a couple of games on adrenaline alone……

AN took a chance with CBs last year and got away with it. AN took a chance this year and didn't get away with it. If you call that bad luck you are foolish. It is bad decision making.

Is there any news coming out regarding any injuries? I think Wilmott is very unlikely but any news on Hoever, Rose, Gooch or Stevens?

Is there any news coming out regarding any injuries? I think Wilmott is very unlikely but any news on Hoever, Rose, Gooch or Stevens? Looks like they think there's a chance of Rose and Gooch being ok for the weekend. www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/stoke-city-leicester-injury-news-8802994Stoke are hoping at least one of Rose or Gooch, who had both limped out of last weekend's win at Bristol City, will be declared fit for Leicester City away on Saturday.

Gooch looked in better shape when they walked in last night about an hour after all the players went in but only because he wasn’t limping/hobbling like Rose🤣 Campbell said another 4 weeks for himself

Couple of months!? Not only will it be a loss for us (still deciding how much of a loss) but I think his injury record will mean he’s not going to have a clamour of clubs queuing round the block to sign him when his contract expires! There’s still time of course but it’s not the career it once promised it was going to be. Edit - It would be interesting to see how many fans would offer him a new deal? I’m really not sure if I would! Just releasing a player like Campbell would be financial suicide Paying through the nose for a new contract for a player half the time in the treatment room and the other half of the time getting upto speed wouldn’t make great financial sense either! Unless we see a real purple patch once he’s back from this injury I don’t see the point in offering him an improved deal.

I’m really not sure if I would! Would be interesting to see who would offer him a deal else where. I don't think there will be much prem interest. Maybe a parachute team will offer him a chance. He will prob ask for a decent wage. Luton for sure! There’s always going to be a team newly promoted or newly relegated that would sign him.
