Who’s saying we have two 20k a week keepers? I wouldn’t want Bonham starting for us if we were in League Two. He’s absolutely wank. That opinion doesn't answer the question Who could we get better for £3k a week on a free transfer? Names please I think there’s be quite a few. Most goalkeepers in the league below will be on less. And seeing as if we were in that league I wouldn’t want Bonham…. The defence of such an absurdly bad player is very strange.

That opinion doesn't answer the question Who could we get better for £3k a week on a free transfer? Names please With the caveat that all internet salary figures are completely made-up...... He probably isn't much worse than most Champ back-ups and will be on a low wage as he was brought in as 3rd choice from Gillingham - It's true the back-up role is unattractive for anyone but a veteran who's made peace with the fact that they're on the way down and just trying to eke out a few more years. But he's very poor though, isn't he? It doesn't say much if there really wasn't anyone out there we could have got who's more competent than Bonham With so much other work to do, can understand why it wasn't towards the top of the summer to-do list, and in the circumstances giving him another year was the easy choice But it could well end up biting us on the arse (depending on the Travers prognosis - which may yet be very good) As could the lack of any meaningful LB back-up.

Makes you wonder about things like Arsenal's 2 keepers on nearer £100k a week doesn't it? (If we're going by wage alone)

Investing about £60m on 2 keepers both on 100k+, and making them both feel uncomfortable about their role, seems crackers. They can probably just about afford it though with their gazillions, although it doesn't seem sensible. There's probably no way a Champ team can afford to carry 2 keepers, both on Champ starter money. And the back-up is one that often becomes a making-do situation. I just think the overall package of Bonham is miles below Champ standard though.

So, with Enda Thompson and Travs back, is that it, no more players out on international duty? If so thats good going for a Sunday night in the middle of the break. A full week for AN before the midweek fixture madness kicks in.

Had a little look at free agents - the one keeper who would be worth a look at would be Timo Horn - 30 years old, nearly 300 league appearances for Koln (a yo-yo team between Bundesliga and their 2nd Division, basically a German west Brom) and been capped up to under 23 level for Germany. Imagine his wages would be comparable to championship too.

A full week for AN before the midweek fixture madness kicks in. Except that we know Stevens has a calf injury, waiting on how long he will be out for and Travers wasn't included at all yesterday which suggests a training injury although nothing has been said.

Not started well for Keenan Davis either after his move £2 million doesn’t sound likely. He’ll be out on loan to Watford in January to help him get match fit.

Sidibe the only player not in the matchday squad for the u17s - hopefully not another international break injury scare From Sentinel: "Sol Sidibe sat out of England under-17s' 4-1 win over hosts Spain at the Pinatar Arena yesterday afternoon due to illness" Shouldn't be a big miss with our humungous squad if he can't make Norwich trip.

www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/stoke-city-norwich-injury-news-8751872Stoke City will make late calls on four starters as they make the trip to Norwich. Mark Travers and Enda Stevens pulled out of Republic of Ireland’s European Championship qualifier against Holland on Sunday while Andre Vidigal and Ryan Mmaee are still recovering from injuries which ruled them out of the last game going into the international break. If it is a relief that all are close to fitness, it is a blow for Stoke that they could be without one, two, three or all four key men for a tricky fixture at Carrow Road. “It will be late calls (on Travers and Stevens),” said Alex Neil. “It will be late calls again (on Vidigal and Mmaee). “There’s nothing worse than when you lose players. You’ve mentioned four players there and based on previous games the argument would be that all four would start. Come Saturday, it could be that all four are not available which isn’t helpful.”

Haven’t heard many updates
Stevens - Calf Injury playing for N Ireland. No idea. Vidigal - Sounds like he’s not far away Mmaee - Hamstring? No idea. Tezgal - No idea Baker - Out after knee op. Mustn’t be far away. Hoever - Was in contention for Huddersfield so can’t be far off.

what happened to Campbell then? Looked like a hamstring when he went in for a challenge, seemed to walk off OK so assuming it was just a knock

If Vidigal was fit enough to come on in the 12th minute, why wasn’t he starting?
Just shows what bollocks it is.

He had to come on Bayern, because Campbell was injured early doors. I'm sure he would have made an appearance later in the game anyway. Not sure what you don't understand about a player coming back from injury.

what happened to Campbell then? Bet this one ends up being another month-long thing as well. Looked exactly the same as when Mmaee pulled up in the cup. Typically Campbell had started quite well yesterday and got injured whilst winning a free kick in a dangerous area.
