I'm loving this new approach. All of this business concluded so far for about half of a Benik Afobe. Thank fuck this club has finally awoken from its behind the scenes coma. Even the media side is absolutely top notch now.

Now this really is exciting to see us exploiting the foreign market again.
Love the new approach and we might finally be entering the stage where we find the next hidden gem like Brentford or Brighton.

I'm loving this new approach. Wait till mid November and we're struggling a bit and this place erupts bemoaning all the lightweight 'forun' lads we've signed when we needed experienced British players who 'know' the league

player.hu/sport-3/angliaba-igazolhat-ryan-mmaeeBased on his abilities, he stood out, but his mentality was destructive. Ferencváros would rather sell him Ryan Mmaee signed from Fradiba Cyprus in July 2021 and quickly showed that he is an exceptionally talented striker: in his first season, he scored 13 goals and six assists in 21 league games, but these are just numbers, Mmaee stood out technically and in speed. Later, however, he was injured, despite this, he scored 12 goals and three assists in the previous season, but something broke in him. His attitude showed a lack of motivation and showed no sign of respect, which made him a close enemy in the eyes of the fans. The low point was when he spat at the pushers. At that time, you could already feel that Fradi would rather oversell him, having confirmed two strikers (Varga and Pesic) in the summer. According to newspaper reports, he can move to England, Stoke City in the Championship is the applicant, and the agreement is close: according to unofficial sources, the Englishmen will pay 2 million euros, and another if they get promoted to the Premier League.

Do we think this is our new centre forward, or a Campbell replacement? I think Brown could well be on his way out!

I think at Stoke he would operate as a number 10. He’s slick on the ball, his dribbling is outstanding and he’s also good at playing football in tight spaces.
He certainly has the capabilities to play as a striker, he’s shown that for Ferencvaros - although my personal opinion I think he plays his best football on the ball and would benefit either having someone next to him or playing just behind them.
He’s also extremely comfortable on either wing, so it’s another case of an attacker who is incredibly versatile in attack, him and Andre will be brilliant additions, I have no doubt.
What are his strengths?
⁃Dribbling ⁃Set Pieces ⁃Finishing ⁃Passing ⁃Vision
Much like Andre is, close control dribbling is impressive, when you combine that with his balance to stay on his feet when under pressure it makes his dribbling far more effective. It’s a big reason why he can easily play on the wing, because he thrives of facing his man up and… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…
He is a good direct set piece taker. In particular penalties - it’s a good option to have when he’s on the pitch, he has that stuttered run up and it works well for him, I’ll drop some clips below highlighting this.
His finishing is tidy, certainly backs himself in front of goal and has that composure more times than not. What I do like so much about his finishing, is his snapshots - he will shoot when a keeper doesn’t expect a shot and he’s very good at doing that.
His passing and vision I’ll take about at the same time because they both compliment each other. He’s so good at knowing when to make the pass and he’s so unselfish, if he feels someone is in a better position than him he will lay it off.
His vision will certainly be welcomed at Stoke because he see things very early and that’s why it’s so effective when he drops between the lines to receive the ball, it’s where all his best traits can come into play.
Overall this is a signing I wasn’t expecting to happen. The last couple of years he’s been linked with some big clubs - I expected he would end up in Germany. However clever recruitment and Stoke look like they’ve secured the signing and he will make an impact.
I am interested to see where he operates. A free roam role definitely would suit his style of play the best. I don’t think him been the focal point is necessarily his strength, although he could do a job - I wouldn’t say it would bring the best out of his game.

I think Brown could well be on his way out! Perhaps Dave but why are you feeling this? A number of reasons but the fact Millwall seemed to think they had a 2m deal agreed in January, makes me think he'll be surplus to requirements if Neil gets the players he wants. In this league, you need to be solid defensively and have a couple of players that bring the x-factor, often, you don't even need a couple and just one will do. Hopefully these lads turn out to be more Arnie than Kolar and we have our "difference makers". It certainly brings an excitement that we've not had for some time. Has a feeling of the Boskamp season, with a less eccentric manager but I very much enjoyed that season, particularly away from home.

Seems more like a Secondary striker to me Only going from those YT vids, but certainly looks like he can play that 'false 9' type role in a 433. Seems like he can cover as a wide forward as well. Still gotta think we're looking for an outright forward as the alternative that Neil was referring to last year, too. Assuming all this Twitter talk is correct, of course. EDIT: Taken from someone who's actually seen him play 😅 (Thanks FM!)

Avoid, avoid, avoid. And some fans are baulking at the idea of the infinitely superior Morales.

I think Brown could well be on his way out! Please be true!!!!! Yeah because Brown hasn’t been our most consistent player, chipped in with crucial goals, had proved his versatility on countless occasions, has been unanimously praised and utilised by all his managers, is a consistent positive presence….. Yeah i really hope we get rid fast.
