I actually still play sensible soccer in all its updated glory.And as daft as this sounds I play and manage teams from all over the globe This guy has pace skill and control ,good finisher,not the most Powerful shot but a really good player.Excited about this one.

You can say what you want about the leagues but if you're used to scoring goals as a player, it can only be a good thing.
He won't be phased by the perceived step up in standard.

19 goals in 50 games for AEL Limassol. For an idea of the standard, a certain Saido Berahino has scored 4 in 28 for the same team. I was looking up Ferencvaros to try and get a sense of their level and found myself looking at their stadium, which is quite nice. They have a, erm, bold statue of their first president outside.  I don't anticipate a similar statue of Peter Coates any time soon. The belt would need to be much bigger... |

But it is commendable that Jared Dublin has come in and (at the very least) booted up Football Manager instead of the Yellow Pages for his recruitment drive.

Do we think this is our new centre forward, or a Campbell replacement? If we are looking for more of a hold-up, target type too, the Campbell sale radar is definitely tingling. Vidi, Chiqi and Brown can play wide, can't they? In terms of the 4-3-3, don't know whether the plan would be for Mmaee to lead the line with the 2 Portuguese lads either side though - or how often we'd go with the target man? Are we expecting this bloke to cost £2-3m? With two games a week, to have the sort of energy and pace Brown, Campbell, Vidi and Chiq have on rotation would be very exciting. No need to sell any of them really. |
