I think the three teams relegated from the premiership are probably better than the three teams promoted from the championship. I know that this year Brentford and Fulham have bucked the trend of promoted teams being candidates for relegation. Notts Forest struggled but clung on. The three teams relegated were absolute rubbish, and Everton were not much better. I agree compared with the other premiership teams but still probably better than the Championship clubs going up.

I think that all 3 of them will be mid table if they are lucky. Leeds haven’t got a clue- just can’t defend. Leicester will be missing anyone half decent and Southampton will find that their youngsters will get kicked off the park with zero protection. I don’t think any one of them will be quite as bad as we have been, but equally they are nowhere near good enough to go straight back up. I don’t think any of them would have got more points than Burnley or Sheff U, but I guess we will see.

A lot depends on how they organise themselves with new personnel. Leicester have very good players and providing they can keep them will be pushing near the top. Leeds will be sorted out by Allardyce if he stays and be much more competetive. Southampton are a bit of an unknown quantity but with good young players could do very well. The three teams coming up from League one I suspect will be very competetive. We have a hard task on our hands no doubt.

Leeds and Leicester are both currently a mess. Unless there is a massive change during the summer, they could struggle. One of their owners just brought Sampdoria who have been relegated to serie B. And the San Francisco 49ers Nfl owner might be trying to buy them again but talks have gone on and off for a while. Going to be interesting. As for Saints and leciester get the funny feeling both will struggle next season.

The 3x relegated clubs sound strong by virtue of their current playing squads but this doesn't guarantee a club will bounce straight back up. Leeds & Leicester will both I imagine have fans who will be thinking they're too good for the Championship & will be bouncing straight back up, although from own experience think that's easier said than done.
We know both these clubs will be most likely losing their star performers & the money earnt will likely get swallowed up by owners recouping finances lost from the massive relegation loss of revinue.
All three clubs will be similar to the position we found oursleves in, that all three will most likely be starting the season with new managers, not withstanding the fact they all changed their managers during the 22/23 season, 3x different managers occupied the hot seat at Southampton & Leeds during their relegation run ins don't forget. So in the case of Leeds & Southampton they'll most likely be having their fourth managers in the space of 12mths, never a great basis to start a rebuild project on. & as others have alluded to, with owners who may act irrationally with finances and potential spending powers, aside from recently being Premier League Clubs with big fan bases, they all may struggle to be in contention again first time of asking.
I'd be more worried and concerned about the newly promoted sides in all honesty, they'll all be on the crest of a wave, all have suitably established managers in place and the all important feel good factor around the place. Ipswich have a project in place that the fans are well in tune with & Sheff Weds will remain buoyed by the route they took to getting promoted via an amazing play off come back feat, & they're still very much aggrieved at being relegated in the first place by way of a points deduction so they'll be strong.. Plymouth may not be spectacular but should just have enough in the tank to remain competitive. Interesting to see & note that 3 of the play off positioned clubs this season had all recently been Div 1 clubs, & the final involved 2x teams who were League Two clubs at the time we were falling out the Premier League!
Then you've got you're regular players like Watford, Boro, Blackburn, Coventry & PNE who will be there or there abouts.
I can't even imagine we'll be mentioned by any pundits as being a team In serious contention & wouldn't be in most peoples top 8, that's how far we've been allowed to fall. We're looked at as a rather beige Championship side now that may just have enough to avoid the relegation dogfight, but may also be amongst the clubs of 5 or 6 vying for the final play off spot. Perhaps this under dog tag may suit us, it has in the past, & we can quietly go about a rebuild & suprise a few people.
However things unfold, the Stoke ownership & management alike need to align themselves & produce something far superior to what other clubs are doing & as Simon Jordan famously quotes, 'Have courage in their conviction'!
We're now a a relatively medium sized fish in a very big lake & will we swim to safety or drop anchor & just bob around for a few more years.
Interesting season ahead.

I see no more than a bottom half very average championship club who could in all honesty be relegated. We will probably see league 1 football again before we threaten any return to the premier league. AN has one hell of a job which judging by what we have already seen I don't think he is capable of doing I hope to be proved wrong but I am not confident or looking forward to the coming season.

I think we will follow the same well worn script of stoke city. We will have a fairly underwhelming preseason and mediocre recruitment. Lose 3 of the first 5 games, sign some exciting on paper loan players at the end of the transfer window to take the heat off and add some optimism. Followed by said loan players taking 6 weeks to get up to match fitness, and then going on to be as poor as ever. I see us getting to the middle of November and hanging around 16-18in the table. AN then being sacked, and going two to three games without a manger. A new dour manager taking the reigns and spending the rest of the season crisis managing us whilst banging the drum about next season. To then finish 15th and the season over before the kids are off for Easter half term.
