We are going to Krakow on Sunday, I've only just noticed that Wisla Krakow are playing and would love to go. Does anyone on here have prior knowledge of how likely it is for 'foreigners' to get tickets. I've signed up to their website and tried to buy online but says 0 tkts available. There average attendance is 9k in a 33k stadium. The main issue is its the last home game and they are in with a chance of top 2 so is it a possibility theyve sold out? Its a fair jump from 9k to 33k......we arrive at 09.00 and KO is 1240 so would be ideal for me to try to stay awake!!!

There's a ticket booth in the corner of the stadium (Fan Corner) that sells them right up to kick off so assuming it's not a sell out you'll be able to get one, you will need your passport as well as they ask for ID. I think it can get busy as unlike in this England quite a lot of fans still "pay on the day"
Shouldn't be any issues though, for the ultimate experience their ultras go behind the goal in Block C (may be a sell out there though if it's a big game)............

Tram#6 from near where you are staying straight to the ground. 18mins. Less than a quid. Who are they playing?

Playing Zagłębie Sosnowiec - not a rivalry or anything but as say its last home game of season and if results go their way on Saturday they could go 2nd with a win on Sunday. I'll not be going in with Ultras as wife has said she'll come as well.......stupidly asked if she wanted to go (expecting her to say 'no, you go, me and Grace will go shopping/walk around Cloth hall'..................

Its a no-go. The stadium is sold out. Only has a capacity of 9500 due to building renovations. Just had email from the club (fair play - sent email at 11:15 and got reply at 12:00) Oh well.....will have to watch in a local hostelry!

I take it Cracovia are away or not playing? Their ground is easily walkable fron the centre, and they play in red and white stripes!

Always a chance that a local will have an extra ticket for sale.....just hang around the stadium an hour before kickoff and hope for a bit of luck.
I'm planning a trip to Krakow (from the US) maybe later this year.....this thread has inspired me to make a stop in England......can someone advise me on flights to Krakow from England......

Use Skyscanner for your dates Can be as cheap as £20 or so, depends on dates etc if booked early enough Alternatively fly to Katowice and get a bus - about an hour Lots of options

Poland very popular as a cheap city break destination from the Uk ( Polish workers here also helped grow the market , so there’s flights to numerous Polish towns / cities)
Ryan air and Easy jet amongst others .both .fly to numerous Polish. /from several uk airports
They’re budget airlines , perfectly safe , but check their baggage charges and size rules carefully , also check the actual location of the airport used ..how far it is from the town and the travel options etc. Some incredible bargains to be had from those carriers , especially if you book early , but you need to do the sums to include luggage if you have any , rather than just look at the headline price ..both their sites allow you to check all charges before you buy
Dont ignore BA if you’ve got hold luggage , though they too are going the same way as the budget airlines when it comes to baggage fees ..
So as always it’s a case of checking your long haul carrier and it’s partners , with a stop over , compared to separate airlines with likely separate baggage rules
Edit Also to add , if travelling later in the year , be aware of English teams playing in Europe .. prices will bump up considerably ..so be aware of European football dates.

Absolutely beautiful city. Public transport superb, so easy to use even for a numpty like me, cycle lanes everywhere, cheap ale and food (anywhere other than the Main square and even the main square is not massively overpriced). Beautiful architecture and you could simply stroll along river bank for hours. Auschwitz was very humbling and is something I think most high school kids need to see. The sheer size of birkenhau was staggering. Pierogis are not for me though. That was the only negative. Absolutely loved the place. It brings into perspective how far behind some UK cities are currently compared to Krakow. Just seems as though most European cities have transport infrastructure far better than 99% of our cities.Im pretty certain they were doing some voucher in Poland where you could travel anywhere from Friday 6pm to Monday 6am at a massively reduced train price. And this would turn to Thursday 6pm to Tue 6am if a bank holiday weekend. Imagine that in the UK train system?????

Not much for the main Old Town Square. Prefer Kazimierz much nicer, cheaper and quirky
