Did anyone go to this tonight at the Mitchell Arts Centre?
Absolutely brilliant, thought Nigel Johnson hosted magnificently and some of the stories TC told were incredibly funny.
Few things I took away from the event:
1) It was a shame to not see every seat filled but I can't remember any kind of promotion from the club, do the club not care about our past? 2) As much as we've taken the piss (for example, Jason Brown), we're in for a rocky few years without Nigel Johnson, the bloke lives and breathes Stoke City and he's a huge asset to local radio 3) Why the hell did Stoke get rid of TC? And why didn't they listen to him when he was trying to get former players in the Waddington Suite?

The guys a natural storyteller, and Nigel Johnson was class.

Didn’t even know this was on…😮 This. TC was great when I've seen him hosting hospitality, an evening would have been quite entertaining.

Would have loved to attend this. Any word on TC coming back into the fold? Absolutely nothing against TC , who was a large part of the team I first fell in love with But ..I suspect that ship has sailed .. with a new COO and the club seemingly moving in a different direction commercially and away from players of that era A sign that we as old school supporters are getting old .. and that younger fans , even those 20 years younger will have different heroes and it’s perhaps right that the club looks to and uses them both commercially and in positions of honour

TC is a natural story teller, a lot of the information about his carreer I knew already but learning about his tough upbringing in Dublin and his journey pre Stoke, during Stoke & post Stoke was fascinating and tbh he's such a great talker I could hear it all over and over again and never tire of it. As for TC returning to the club. Not a chance. Short sighted view from the club in my opinion but that ship has certainly sailed.
