Toxic was a word used on the Oatcake for quite a while - toxic from top to bottom - its a word not been used for a while so has the toxicity gone away? Results are still poor and home performances are still shockingly bad, so no improvement on the pitch. Is the toxicity still there? Fans sitting around me are probably more angry than ever.

Dictionary definition of 'toxic' - "very harmful or unpleasant in a pervasive or insidious way".
So the answer is no.
I have never uderstood how the word 'toxic' might be sensibly applied to any football club.
The club is not harmful, we're just not very good right now.

I have never understood the description of toxic relating to a football club either, but I have worked in a company which was a very unpleasant environment - back stabbing, chinese whispers etc,

I'm absolutely certain that this rotten club will remain unfixed regardless of who's in the dugout so long as the incompetent billionaire dickheads who own the club fail to realise their own limitations and put in place a structure and strategy that will allow the club to compete in the modern game. Buckle up boys - we're going to be in this division or lower for a very long time indeed.

I wouldn’t disagree with that, however it is possible to get a club out of the championship (up not down) despite being hamstrung by poor ownership

I was told that a Microsoft Office Presentation got one of our recent managers the job and the owners were blown away how good it was, not the manager but a file on a computer

Comes across as the polar opposite of toxic to me. A backslapping cosy club with people sat in easy chairs in every corner of the building, with no drive, determination, targets or a clue on how to achieve.
To me, it needs more accountability and toxicity lobbing into it if anything.
It needs a good couple of arseholes in there prepared to mix it up.

A bloke ugly enough to take on the fans from time to time and a bloke that would run the club from top to bottom in his own vision. It's time the family grew up a bit and realised it isn't 1958. Those managers have gone out of the game now and the toxicity comes now in the form of the Sporting Director and the Technical Directors. People who are savvy enough to know modern football and are experienced in dealing with bullshitting managers, and aren't afraid to take them on and drive them on and not let them run amok with whatever they want to do. Basically, one hand up their arse and make them dance to the clubs tune. Sadly our owners idea of this is to ask their manager to recommend his bessie mate that failed at a previous club.

I can’t see Jc saying Alex we need to go 5 at the back at home , we need to sign three players in the window that won’t play because they aren’t fit or good enough , we need to put baker on after 75 mins to no effect every time we lose .

I can't think of any logical reason other than he doesn't trust the centre backs at his disposal in a 4? 5 at the back against QPR at home is Joe Jordan level management.

But they don’t work in a 3 and it stifles everything. It’s just daft. And why I can’t take football managers seriously.

We are in a dangerous predicament, going from one manager to the next, not really building anything... More dismantling before trying to reconstruct every damn time. I think it's why so many people suggested the DOF route and having experts above and around a football coach, who has a vision but matches the clubs identity, ideology, expert niche perhaps. Next year will be absolutely mental, and we will probably be insanely inconsistent with 20 new faces etc

You might not have heard of the Juve team with Chiellini, Barzagli, and Bonnucci but FYI they did pretty well. Also Pep has used it at Man City, Conte at Chelsea and Wilder got promoted using it at Sheff Utd.

I think it comes down to,we have Billionaire owners who haven't got a Donkeys Donger on how to run a football club. They're the cause of the situation we find ourselves in as well as the biggest obstacle to overcoming it. Absolutely nothing will change whilst these arrogant clowns own the club. They've consistently proved that they don't have the wherewithal to get us out of the predicament we find ourselves in since 2018. I'm absolutely convinced that we'll drop to League One (or lower) before we ever see the top flight again.

You said Football Managers plural, meaning more than one manager, and not specifying Stoke. Youre trying to sound clever by seemingly undermining professional football managers, but I’ve just given you an example (including others now) of managers using it successfully.
