Just having a look about Myspace and these pictures were added today from the offical Pro Evo profile PES 2009: new season, new advances Konami confirms Autumn launch for PES 2009 Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH has announced that it will release PES 2009 for PLAYSTATION®3, Xbox 360, PC-DVD, PlayStation®2, and PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) this Autumn in Europe. PES 2009 is the latest installment of the award-winning Pro Evolution Soccer Series, which is known by millions of fans for its superior gameplay and incredible realism. For PES 2009, Konami is already planning a raft of extensive new additions that will further bridge the gap between PES and the real thing. The new game has undergone a stunning graphical update to ensure its players look and move even more like their real-life counterparts. Similarly, all-new options allow users to tailor the game to their own tastes, while new moves, innovative new control elements and key online elements will further the realism of the new game. "The announcement of a new PES game is always a highlight for Konami, but PES 2009 looks set to reaffirm the series' utter superiority," commented Jon Murphy, PES Project Leader for Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH. "We are committed to extending the realism of the new game with a wealth of key gameplay additions, and will produce a football title that truly embodies all the skill and pace that is good about the modern game." I can't fucking wait for it now. 08 was a bit of a let down to me but here's hoping this is the one to take Pro Evo well into the 'Next Gen' era

Wow it looks.....the same as 2008 really.
The only thing graphically i didn't like about 2008 was the crowd and the pitch. The gameplay is top just needs slight tweaks with refereeing decisions etc and OBVIOUSLY the online play.

the online play is fucking shocking, which is why i traded it for fifa which i thoguht was better

The only thing that appeals to me about fifa is the co-op online play, i'd like to beat some random lads with a few of my mates online...although we would all probably be greedy shites and never pass ;D

Can't wait to hear what these new additions are. Surely a much improved Edit Mode is a must for the game to hit a 'Next Gen' standard

Ideally i'd like to see..... -Better Editing, - Edited teams online (maybe just names as not to get everyone just whoring a custom built squad) -a way to stop the Barca whores (don't know how but it winds me up) -Make Valencia even better so i can keep on winning ranked matches (they are superb ;D ) -Better crowd and pitch graphics (2D fans look silly) -they will no doubt put some more skills in -take out that stupid touch that you get when using Henry/Ronaldo/someone good -sort the reffing out, i've seen absolute horrific tackles play on and no contact whatsoever been given as penalties (even without diving!) - SORT THE BLOODY LAG OUT -Co-op online matches 5 a side or something with it's own leaderboards -online tournaments? If this is possible? Maybe something like forza has where you got to be ready to play at a certain time or you forfit
I'm going on a bit here i'm sure they will improve some bits but leave margin for improvement...seems to be the story with every pes game, great but missing something

TBH bar the shirts looking more creased, a la Fifa, they dont seem to have changed an aweful lot in terms of graphics The steward on one picture looks quite square and the fans look like they'll be shit clones again. PS. Sorry about stretching the thread ;D

I don't think anyone will mind about stretching, the pictures look nice but yes i agree the crowd does look poor again, it's like looking at the crowd of an old WWF game on the ps1, all move in unison and have replicated 2 different types of person over and over again ;D
Have a Karma for the pics

Barcalona.. IMO.. are beatable and I found that out last week when I managed a rampant 6-0 victory. However.. if you don't win at least 90% of the league matches then you won't win the league over them I'd like to see the so called 'Huge European Teams' to be hard to beat. Not extremely hard but you have games where you need to grind out a result. Them sorts of matches are my favourite because I'm beginning to dislike nobbing huge teams like AC Milan 7 and 8-0 Also.. having your own Youth Team. Retired players become regenerated within these youth teams and random players created. You can then pick and choose a star youth player to go through the ranks. It's better than having to wait until the mid season transfer window Injuries as well.. I don't think there's enough injuries IMO. Not one player for me has suffered a serious injury and only about 3 players have had niggling injuries. Not realistic IMO and something that needs sorted. Possibly introducing the option of whether or not to wait until the end of the season for a player to have an op to sort out a groin problem or ruling him out for the season would be a nice decision to make In the Master League.. the ability to control all aspects of your team including the building of training facilities, building a club shop, improving transport facilities etc. Then also controlling admission prices and food, drinks, programme prices. Whatever your decision being it affects the club budget and also attendances Build you own stadium has been a huge want from me for a few years. The ability to move to a brand new ground after a couple of seasons that you have created from scratch. Nice addition to the Edit Mode

I was talking more about Barca online in ranked. I use no one but Valencia but get annoyed when Barca make poor players seem decent. Puyol is an absolute superhero and Eto'o is mr. untouchable
Saying that David Villa is fooking awesome ;D

Pro Evo on the wii shits on every other football title.
So i'll just be getting the next installment of that, all the Pro Evo games seem to be the same on PS3 and XBOX, but on the wii it's simply brilliant. You can do anything you want with the ball.

Can you deflate it? or make your striker put it under his shirt and run it into the net?

I love the refs but love to dive in the box!!!!
Just got away with it as Stoke in Master league and got the keeper sent off so they out the striker in net.....
He saved it!!!!
(To dive it's RT + LB + LT) On 360 I think anyway i may have changed the cotrols to suit me though!!!???

Both PES and FIFA have been dross since we moved onto next-gen consoles, ive had both and neither are as good as the final versions on the ps2 and xbox, look better in FIFA's case - PES doesnt even have all that great aesthetics although this one looks better, if they're both poor again this year, i think im going to get myself declared depressed by a doctor, been 2 years now since i last had a decent football game that once you find the trick for becomes all too easy.
Both FIFA and PES have the same problem this year, too easy to score by just rolling the ball along the ground, the worlds best keepers just don't seem to realise there is space below their waists for the ball to go through - be nice if you dont just run down the wing, pass across and pass it in the net next year, hopefully keepers will bother to move a bit.

I understand where you're coming from Santy, cutbacks for example are pretty much a dead cert and makes alot of online players do it even though it is SCUM (doesn't take me long to get on the headset if they score a cutback and give them a piece of my mind)
That was the main reason i joined pesforum.co.uk, playing against some of the worlds best (#2 on pes6, #6 on pes 2008 + a few top 100's) who play fair, don't have much lag and score O.G's if a lag goal or cutback is scored.

As much as I love Pro you've got to admit it does your fucking head in at times. Especially Pro Evo 5 which IMO is the most overrated game in history.
Just wanted to get that off my chest
