I didn’t watch yesterday but I’ve watched enough of him to know he isn’t a striker and should never be used there. Hopefully some lessons there were learned for AN. 😂 ffs

Utter rubbish on Saturday, offers nothing whatsoever to the team other than a little pace but that’s it. Opposition teams know when he’s in possession he hasn’t got the ability to go past them let alone pick out dangerous crosses. Of late I’ve noticed he’s forever committing stupid fouls and on Saturday he was beyond useless. He put in 3 dangerous crosses in the first 20 minutes……

For me he goes down too easily. Friday he leapt out of a challenge by their goalkeeper which could have left both players badly injured. I am not sure if the goalkeeper caught him or not but he definitely did not play the ball. Brown in my opinion did the right thing for both players safety. Brown was definitely second best and rightly pulled out of the challenge.

Lovely movement and finish by Brown! Lovely finish? He had a free header, shut his eyes and it fluked in off his face!! He even needed to get treatment for a bloody nose! He’s awful and will struggle to make the bench next season.

You can even see the frustration of the other players when he blindly runs with his head down. No awareness whatsoever.

Brown’s the least of our worries at the moment.
I’d look at playing him up top for the last few games, for all his faults he absolutely can’t do shy less than Powell or Gayle…….

Some weird obsession from some hating Brown.
It’s actually a bit sad.

Some weird obsession from some hating Brown. It’s actually a bit sad. Because he’s not a footballer and struggled to chest the ball down and lay it off today with nobody around him and still managed to fall over, get back up and never looked in control of the ball to make a 3 yard pass. He’s not good enough for where we need to go.

Every manager says he has a great attitude, works and trains hard and wants to improve. He’s still relatively young………

He’s still relatively young……… I do think he's got something to contribute - but I did certainly raise an eyebrow at that John Percy article on Millwall which hinted that their January inquiry, presumably around the £2.5-£3m they offered for the other 2 that Percy mentioned, wasn't rejected out of hand. onefootball.com/en/news/millwall-transfer-move-for-stoke-city-player-fell-through-in-january-37071619

I'll be the first to say it then, Brown was the only midfielder/attacker last night to show any commitment or desire and the team was weaker for him going off injured.......

He may have shown his usual willing, but he was just as inept as the rest of them. He is a shining example of our terrible previous transfer policy that may have shifted our FFP status but has left us bereft of any players on our books with any talent, creativity or the ability to take the game to the opposition. Him, Baker, Thompson, Tymon & others are literally awful, awful footballers and we are now stuck with them. I knew he had to ring the changes last night but as soon as I saw that team sheet my heart sank. We have a terrible squad. The fact that people think Brown should be 1st name on the team sheet shows how lowly we have sunk. Sad times.

Brown will be part of next seasons squad and rightly so, he is far from useless. Baker and Tymon have had good patches of form for us so again they have a value albeit not necessarily to Neil in the formation he wants to play............

We definitely need to keep Jacob Brown. I'm not his biggest fan but we can't throw every squad member under the bus. He has a role to play in any match day squad.

No the reality is our squad is awful and is potential relegation fodder as the majority of this season has proved. The loan acquisitions have papered over the cracks but we are still looking at a terrible finish with only worse teams and point deductions in a shit league helping us avoid a scrap. I am yet to be convinced by Neil but I will judge him next season as he has inherited a terrible squad of players. He has the summer window to try and rectify things.

Well Neil will have had 41 games in the league and a transfer window so he needs to shoulder some of the responsibility. I will also judge him next season and still fell he will improve us, but against no FFP sanctions he absolutely should be improving us no ifs, no buts.........

With a crap squad having to get rid of the loans MON brought in, lumbered with a highly payed end of carrer striker up front that no one else wants, the good thing with having the amount of games he's had is that he has no excuses when it comes to knowing who to get rid of. I think he easily improves us next season tbh, he's already managed to do it a little bit and shown he knows where the problems are.
