"This is a momentum... to say fank you... " 😳 He should be playing, he had two excellent chances against Leicester, he should probably have scored, but the encouraging thing is he was in a position to have them. Of course he hasn't been seen since, well done the management team! 🙄 He isn't good enough yet.

He isn't good enough yet. Yet we've got Gayle and Wesley usually in front of him Yep, players with an ability to score goals or at least have in the past. I'm all for getting players out of the academy into the starting 11 but they need to be ready, he isn't yet but there's no need to rush he's still very young.

Me too. He's more mobile, has good movement and lasts longer than 20 minutes. Plus, his instincts are better. It’s such a poor set of options and it’s pretty clear non of them are anywhere close to what is required. It's not that bad. I think Mmaee looks good enough, but he needs a run of games. Start with him and sub him for Low or Tezgel, and we'll get some goals plus player development. Gayle is a £20K/wk money pit. Unless he can mentor the younger players, but I don't follow trainings so I wouldn't know.

Depending upon how the next couple of months go, you'd imagine Neil will have a short term view on playing those who in theory are already able to perform at this level. But once its confirmed we are a bottom half team with some good players that can be developed you'd like to think Gayle / Wesley will play ALOT less in favour of developing players.

His contribution to our play is extremely minimal. Needs to man up or fook off.

We need to get him out on loan now. He killed the game for us a bit I thought on Sat when he replaced Mmaee.

Great news, he needs to play more than afew mins towards the end of a game. Should be rotated with mmaee more often.

We need to get him out on loan now. He killed the game for us a bit I thought on Sat when he replaced Mmaee. It's great that he's signed a new deal but he does need to go out on loan. He is only 18 but he's too slight and gets knocked off the ball too easily. Two prime examples on Saturday where Sanderson (who isn't a big unit by any means) simply barged him off the ball in decent areas. We don't want the Delap thing where he was more interested in playing the man than the ball but he does need a good run in a team against big lumps who'll knock him about a bit so that he can work out how to play them. When I've seen him for the 21's he's head and shoulders bigger than the centre halves his age and can dominate them. He can't do that at Championship level and isn't getting the minutes anyway. Sort him a loan.

Doesn't sound too worried about his lack of starts at the moment. I would imagine part of the negotiations for this contract were to discuss his pathway. If he's prepared to sign a four and a half year contract he is obviously prepared to fight for a place here whichever way it is that the coaching staff have decided his next step should be. Sometimes I think promising players get lost in a long term loan and become detached emotionally from their parent club.

On a side note I remember him signing his first contract at about the same time as Tezgel as their birthdays are in a few days of each other. I don't recall if their contracts were the same length. I wonder if Tezgel is in discussions.
Funny isn't it, when they signed those contracts I remember it being said that although close in age and both joining the club as lads, they hadn't played together very often because Tezgel had always played in the higher age groups. It seems that staying within your own age group doesn't harm your chances. I even think that in terms of your growing body a player is better off playing against boys of a similar age and physique.

We lost attacking momentum when Mmaee went off I thought, even though he wasn't having a good game, as Mmaee was able to link more effectively with Campbell.

I don't think we lost attacking momentum we just needed someone to put the ball in the net. Mmaee did not look like doing that and IMO was righfully subbed.
