Thinking about going for a 3-4 day stay in Wales this summer, preferably near a nice beach, maybe stay in a cottage or something like that, thinking maybe Tenby but anyone got any good suggestions??
Serious answers welcome as well as jokes about shagging sheep etc...

Me and the g/f have been going to Wales for years , depends what you want though, We go camping on the Llyn peninsular but also rent a cottage in Upper Borth overlooking Cardigan bay where the views are breath taking. We go for the nothingness (is that a word) of the place. About a mile from Borth is Ynyslas where there is a 4 mile sandy beach and the dunes. We also rent a cottage at St Just in Cornwall for the above reasons. This weekend we camped at Llyn Gele on the North coast and there was nothing but views and beaches to be had.

thanks for all the info everyone, i think we've decided on Tenby Town but the place we are looking at has no parking. Anyone know what it's like for parking in the town? A lot of FBM properties have allocated spaces in the town's multi storey, because most of the town is small cottages in winding streets. Ask FBM if there is a space with the cottage, or if you can rent one for the week And Sidders, my Dad always referred to Aberystwyth as "God's Waiting Room" owing to the huge amount of pensioners always sat in the shelters by the sea front ;D

What amused me more was that my Dad was 72 when he was saying this!! I like Aberystwyth, never been for longer than a day but there is some beautiful places to explore around that way.

I actually prefer further up towards Barmouth. Went there for a week as a kid, place called Tal y Bont. Dad had this fabulous idea that we would walk up a path through the woods up to the top of the mountain. Four hours later I was dying a death and only just up to the lake... Seem to remember going to shell island on that holiday as well. I keep saying I'll head back down there one day.

That was my thoughts, just tent for a weekend (we have a touring caravan but hardly seems worth it for 2 nights). It would be nice to go back. Dad passed away in March, so could be a little raw to go yet though, maybe next year.

The kids have done more than me with the Grand Parents ;D Yeah, same. I seem to have explored most of Wales, East Anglia, North West Coast and Devon and Cornwall, but I have never been to Scotland. Its a place I always wanted to go to. So if you are reading this Husband dearest, wedding anniversary = Edinburgh please ;D ;D

I've spent a bit of time down on The Brecon Beacons/Black Mountains in South Wales - the views from Pen-Y-Fan are some of the best I've ever seen...anywhere, and far less tourists than Snowdonia in North Wales
From Cardingmill Valley, Church-Stretton, on a clear day, you can see the Becons and Snowdonia..which maps out the whole of Wales
Most of my time in Wales has been in Portmadog/Dolgellau and the fantastic Lleyn Peninsula
I've had many a camping weekend with the kids at Black Rock Sands and been camping quite a few times in Benner/Tal-y-bont/Llanenddwyn - which is about half way between Barmouth and Harlech, looking over Tremadog Bay - towards the Lleyn Peninsula
I first went to the Lleyn 20 years ago by mistake, and ended up in Abersoch..after a night there I drove round looking for a camp site and ended up close to Hell's Mouth beach, which had some of the biggest waves I've seen outside of Cornwall..we found a campsite in Plas in Rhiw, overlooking the beach and got a bonfire going as the sun-set
The campsite was part of a farm and was surrounded by trees and hammocks and rope-swings and had its own private little beach that could only be accessed via a rope ladder, which isn't ideal when you have very small children clinging to your back as you climb down..great adventure though
And the 2 elderly ladies that owned the site were from Donegal and knew the owners of The Mermaid in Leek- who at the time were also from Donegal
Small world eh?
Sadly, the campsite had to be closed in later years due to cliff erosion, as it slowly sank back into the Irish Sea
Whistling sands is another great place over on the other side of the peninsula looking towards Anglessey..along with loads of other little-gems, completely unspoilt by tourists
And I thoughy I was the only one who knew!!
The Lleyn Peninsula is one of the best places in the UK and is less than 3 hours away
Fantastic...lets get the tents and sleeping bags out!

Whilst shagging sheep, lift the back legs and part them slightly, as though pushing a wheelbarrow. Insert the penis, then gently replace the legs to the original position. This will allow for deeper penetration; ultimately more pleasurable for you, and your ovinous ladyfriend.

We paid a visit to Hells mouth on Saturday and was well worth it, this is the view that greets you as you walk the short distance from the road to the beach, When we got there it was raining and very windy so there were a lot of surfers having a great time, Before we went to Hells mouth we tried to visit Aberdaron (sp) again, First time we tried there was a big funeral on and this time, 21st of June, it was full of pilgrims on their way to Bardsey Island for some sort of Druid festival.Yes Miss Piggy my sig is Gwenver beach about half a mile north of Sennen, The pic below is Hells mouth.
