Brilliant from Smith! Kept on going in that 4th leg and maybe shouldn’t have had a chance but to start the 5th with two 180s was superb.

Chuffed to bits for Smith. A lovely natural flow to his darts, one of the best to watch IMO on the circuit.
A thoroughly deserved champion and a nice bloke to boot having met him a few times at Cheshire Oaks. Always got time for people.

Congrats to Bully Boy, superb display.
Has been known to be a bit of a bottlejob in recent years but that was anything but, the opposite in fact - came back from 2-0 down in the set to win.
And a 9-darter to boot, what a player.

That's because no matter how hard Hearn tries to elevate it up the class structure, Darts has always naturally stayed true to its roots. A proper working class game. Johnny Clayton for example has not long packed in as a plasterer for his local council and in that time had already won 4 majors! |
