Did anyone pick up on what Pej said after the match about the managers and club now compared to when Gary Rowett left us?
I got the distinct impression he was laying the blame 100% at the Board Room for the state of the club and the merry go round of managers?

Was that it? I'm not sure it would be anything ground breaking if he carried on. It sounded nothing more in depth than the bollocks I normally come out with... 😂

Whilst considering our former players, I haven’t seen TC at Stoke for a few weeks. Hope he isn’t ill.

Yes he seemed to want to say a lot more than he did also Pej has plenty to say and is a good summariser. He seemed to agree that the problems at Stoke go deeper than the manager. That only leaves John Coates since Scholes and the others have all left. How he adversely affects the team I can't say, but the implication was that Pej knows more about what goes on in the boardroom than any supporters, and I think that is probably true.

Did anyone pick up on what Pej said after the match about the managers and club now compared to when Gary Rowett left us? I got the distinct impression he was laying the blame 100% at the Board Room for the state of the club and the merry go round of managers? Very interesting comments from Pej and I think he's spot on. All the manager's appointed from Rowett onwards have been decent appointment's, not world beaters but most supporters felt reasonably optimistic given their previous track record I guess. However, we are absolutely horrendously bad and to say we are under performing is a huge understatement. The question is WHY? I'm sure we're all aware of Einstein's definition of insanity - doing the same thing over & over again and expecting a different result. That's Stoke City in a nutshell. The 85 year old bloke who was on P&G made a very good point about manager's in the game now knowing that Stoke pay big money, you sign a lucrative contract and after a year or two depart with a big pay off. Now it's not as simplistic as that obviously BUT I can see where he's coming from to a degree. We seem to see the same scenario's play out in terms of manager's on the defensive, big disconnect with the support, it's all very insular, they depart and off we go again. AN said he came here because of the financial backing. Hopefully, he can do what he needs to do in the January window, bring in real leaders, build his own spine and move forward successfully. It begs the question, is AN here for the money, professional integrity aside, does he or any other manager we've had since relegation give a flying **** about Stoke City? Because right now, if the whole structure doesn't change as in JC handing over the reins to a professional team of people more akin to running a modern day football club in 2022 then the only route for me would be to bring in people who have a real love for the club, a real affinity and a real desire to make Stoke City successful again. Whatever anyone thinks about TP he set his stall out to build a real connection, a bond, a brothers in arms, shoulder to shoulder mentality between players and fans, club and the city of S-O-T. Putting aside style of play etc that was a major factor in our success and the fact that he loved being manager of Stoke City. It was a source of great pride to him, a real privilege for him and he was devastated when he left. Stoke City will remain in his heart until his very last breath. Cue the anti Pulis brigade that will no doubt slaughter me for bringing up his name. Feel free! But, I am trying to make a point here that money alone doesn't buy you success. You need a whole host of other ingredients such as a belief in what you are doing, a real desire, passion and love. I just don't see any of that nowadays. I see a cold, corporate style, rudderless regime that is doomed to failure. If AN fails and I pray that he doesn't fail but if he does, what next? Ryan Shawcross, with TP advising? Rory, Ricardo, Liam Lawrence etc etc etc....I honestly don't know anymore!!!

Probably been too honest in his match summarising🤔 Wasn't there a comment on one of the threads a couple of weeks ago saying that tc had been sacked/released and said he was treated badly and would never set foot in the club again?

Whilst considering our former players, I haven’t seen TC at Stoke for a few weeks. Hope he isn’t ill. He isn't ill, he's in good health and good spirit's all things considered. TC was relieved of his previous match day duties at the beginning of the season, the day before Millwall away to be precise. He believed he would be continuing his usual role but that wasn't the case so he's stepped away for the moment. He loves Stoke City and always will. He like Banksy and others made S-O-T his home.
